Elite allround players: LeBron, Durant, Giannis, Butler, Cp3, Davis, Kawhi, Curry, Wall, Towns, Lowry, Gasol 12 better allround players => Gordon not elite allround, sry.

So Gordon Hayward is not an elite scorer?

Eyetest, drop stats. Danny Green absolutely plays defense at a level, where he's got hyper awareness and really good instincts/decision making.

If Danny Green is an OK defender, the DPOY candidates are no better than slightly above average

He's fine flying horizontally to the basket. He "just" needs to get more minutes under his belt and turn the corner more often so he getts those whistles when someone pushes him slightly when flying at max speed. Of all the publically available media mocks, they still had the best performance...

Because it's interesting to me. I'm just curious if teams will have to weigh injury history into their decision when it comes to him...

Did he tear an ACL like Giles or something like that? Is he still a virgin when it comes to the surgeon's knife?

Did De'Aaron Fox have any issues with injuries in the past? He comes across like a really smart kid.

IN that case he'd sign a LeBron deal

Should we go big? Adjustments for game 2

Easier said than done, but we should start with making open 3s.

Jazz Clippers - observations through game 3

I like that lineup. Not sure I'd start with it, except for the surprise factor. It could play into their hands to go small and not overpower.

Jazz Clippers - observations through game 3

But is it really that important to get initial assignments right? We switch literally every screen but those that manage to ice Paul. The Clippers don't have multiple capable ballhandlers on the floor at all times unlike we do. Basically if you go for boards and have one guy who is glued to Paul...

Jazz Clippers - observations through game 3

OK I've checked our game 3 stats. 8.6% ORB%(basically 1 out of 12 misses), while the Clippers had 27.3% of their misses back. I think being outmatched by switches etc on the boards explains how the Clippers are doing a good job in our paint, but how does it explain how terrible we are? We were...

Jazz Clippers - observations through game 3

So far, this series is presenting the Jazz with various puzzles that they've attempted to solve as creatively as the circumstances allow them to. 1) Let's get the elephant dealt with first: Rudy Gobert missing is the single biggest story so far and it's forced the Jazz to become resourceful...

    2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

You gotta consider the fact that the Spurs in general are one of the teams that fouls the least, so it's not a 50-50 thing. They are smart about their fouls and cut down stupid fouls in general. The point of frustration was that the Grizz play hard in the paint and 50-50 calls went against them...

    2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

Ya, but those teams are really close in terms of playing strength this season. If you have someone like Paul who really likes to direct his shoulder into the chest of opponents and Griffin, whose off-arm is pushing off a lot and they get a lot of blocking fouls on their offense and we don't get...

    2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

One issue I fear are 'star' calls. The last game I watched between the teams, refs really gave Paul and Griffin in particular an unhealthy level of benefit of the doubt. If that continues it can be really hard to break their rhythm.

I think he has a legit chance to be a pf. His mobility is really great. Favorable to porzingod who still spends significant time at pf. While his length is below average for someone his size there are few players who match his size in the first place. His standing reach is decent and if he...
