    Jefferson thriving without Deron

Jefferson just is coming around. He might feel less pressure now that Deron isn't around though, and that could be helping. AK, on the other hand, I expect to actually thrive simply because Deron is gone.

    Who's the new floor leader?

Deron damn well wasn't a black hole. That's simply ridiculous. However, when your teammates don't enjoy playing with you, it's going to make team basketball much more difficult. This team has been miserable since December.

    Who's the new floor leader?

I honestly think it might be AK. He looked pretty vocal out there tonight.

CJ Miles is a homeless man's J.R. Smith at this point. What the hell happened to him? He actually played well last year's playoffs. He's regressed massively since then. His stats are something special, don't think I've ever seen anything like this before: 07-08 .479 FG% .390 3pt%...

    The Anti-Sloan/Pro-Deron Theory

One of the theories I've heard tossed around was that Sloan wanted to penalize Deron for not running plays he called during the Chicago game. To which, the management said no, so Sloan finally decided to hell with it all.

Welcome Ty Corbin - new head coach of the Jazz

Good luck Ty. You're clearly going to need it. And don't play Fes and Elson together ever again.

    Utah Jazz vs Pheonix Suns - ESA - 8:30p mst - February 11, 2010

Well, if the Suns had shot their season average from 3, we would have lost by 25. Which is about how much we should have lost by given the performance tonight.

    Utah Jazz vs Pheonix Suns - ESA - 8:30p mst - February 11, 2010

    1) AK came out with fire. After he went down we look like absolute crap. 2) Fes and Elson should never play together. 3) Jefferson with one of the worst games I've ever seen. Horrific on offense, pathetic on defense, no effort or energy whatsoever. 4) Why don't we run the...

Hear for Yourselves. Deron on 1320 right now

Seems to me that Deron didn't directly force out Sloan, but he's sure as hell happy he's gone. Just what I read into that.

The more things change, the more they stay the same

Millsap's rebounding decrease is a tough one to explain. A few years back, he went on a very impressive ~15 game double-double streak with Boozer out. He had demonstrated the capability to average double digit rebounds. Either he's stopped caring so much about rebounding after becoming a...

The more things change, the more they stay the same

I definitely think the biggest difference in this Jazz team is not the change from Boozer to Jefferson (which is probably a slight net loss), but rather losing Matthews and Korver to pick up Bell (a massive net loss), and Okur being out with injury, and being horrible in his return thus far...

    Millsap 6th man

Okur/Jefferson will make Boozer/Okur look good defensively. Their pick n'roll defense is absolutely atrocious. While they do compliment each other on offense, on defense, it will be an absolute train wreck. Millsap/Okur is the superior combo. Both players strengths and weakness actually...

    This makes Utah look good

If feral animals killed one of your pets, you'd likely be more sympathetic towards this bill. Mentioning decapitation was probably stupid though, even though it is certainly more humane than say clubbing something to death.

Is it time to trade Millsap?

He was a gametime decision last night, he certainly wasn't 100% out there, and he got into foul trouble really stopping him from getting into any kind of rhythm. I think Millsap is the least of our worries, although his fall off on rebounding is concerning.
