AK has faded in the last stretch. He's played some good defense--though Adelman inexplicably left Shved on Harden last night--but his offensive contributions have been much more in tune with latter-day AK, including some dreadful drives to the baskets and terrible finishes. FG% is dropping...

Deron Williams: Still a Giant Douche

I wonder if he doesn't miss that aspect of SLC as well. I follow Siler on Twitter--mainly for his love of baseball--and his affection for D-Will is really at odds with some of the perception here (i.e., mine). Think the problem for New Jersey is that a.) they treated Williams like a franchise...

Mediocre game yesterday. Still hard to peg this team as a whole, especially re: Kevin Love's impact. Fun article on AK in Minny: https://www.foxsportsnorth.com/12/18/12/Wolves-investment-in-Kirilenko-is-paying/landing_timberwolves.html?blockID=836689&feedID=10354 Best quote: "He's operating by...

Nicholas Batum with the first 5x5 since AK tonight. Interesting, since he was the original target for Minny's SF search.

Oh, on the negative side, he's missed at least his last fourteen three-point FGAs.

Well, obviously. Actually, if you look earlier in the thread, I mentioned that this was going to be the forever unsolved argument no matter how he plays this year, but the evidence is mounting for a compelling argument against it all being slacking/effort. Personally, I viewed it as a...

Not time to call it just yet, but the case for Jazz Misuse is at an all-time high. He's been almost as good as '03/'04 with eight more years on him. And that doesn't even count the fact that he has a bit more wear and tear on him than the average bear, considering his pro career started in his...

Think Love's gone even if they're a decent team by then (which I doubt). Love is actively seeking the spotlight like Bosh/Howard (doing quirky videos on the side, trying to increase visibility while on Olympic Team, etc.). Get sense he's already setting Minny up for the fall. And like...

Lots of commentary on Kevin Love recently. My take: there's more similarities to the situation with Chris Bosh in Toronto than Kevin Garnett in Minnesota.

Marcus Lee starting over Alexei Shved is the most Sloan move Adelman could make.

8/7/6/4/3, though I think they might add another steal back. This was classic.

He's back tonight. 1 steal and 3 blocks from 5x5 with 15 minutes to go in the game.

Locke probably underplayed that a bit in this case. For the last ten games, he's averaged 38.8 MPG, which is probably team-high. Not to say it isn't concerning, but after a few games of playing 44MPG or so, I was expecting him to sit one out at some point. Just don't see that that often in the...

Rubio cleared for full-contact practices. Get excited. AK was good not great last night. Four turnovers, none of them particularly defensible. Did have a key exchange with a block on one end and a great pass for an easy layup on the other during crunchtime.
