I think it’s that he has a longer leash now. He’d get pulled any time he made a mistake before. It’s difficult to play with that level of stress.

Disagree here.. because we lost a lot of depth. Expecting the team to not take a dip because Sexton will play an additional 10 minutes a night isn’t realistic. Whose replacing the other 50+ minutes… and yes, I was too lazy to actually look up what the actual numbers are.

We also traded three second round picks and a third bench player. Is it too much to expect an unprotected first, or a first that doesn’t immediately turn into a second? We won’t know for 4 years, but this literally could wind up being one of those trades that has to be included in the worst...

We were sellers in a sellers market… and there is a chance we gave away all those players (who all had some level of value) for the right to give away more second round picks than what we secured.

I’m thrilled to see Sexton get to play without such a short leash… one of my favorite Jazz players.
