    Cooley

No doubt it's a deal with multiple years, but all the additional years are team option (similar to the deal Millsap signed). These contracts are great. They are cheap and have very little risk involved. Plus, it gives these players that are on the bubble to get a chance to play hard and show...

Would you date someone who rooted for the Jazz's biggest rival?

I don't mind people that root for other teams unless they are jerks about it. So not dating someone like that would be more about them being a jerk than about them rooting for a rival team.

Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

Just because you brought it up ... Harden came off the bench. lol

Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

Good discussion, btw. I hope I don't sound like I'm completely anti-Kanter. I just feel that he is in the perfect situation right now with Ibaka and KD out for the season. It's basically his dream situation since he is Westbrook's best option on the court and his lack of defense doesn't hurt...

Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

It's possible that it works out like that, but it's not a foregone conclusion. Everything that you said could be true and the team could still find him more valuable coming off the bench.

Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

It's equally reasonable to believe that they will keep the ball in KD and Westbrook's hands and have Kanter come off the bench and add defense to the starting lineup. Same thing that we would have done with him if he stayed here.

Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

Kanter is a good fit in OKC for now. They are basically the Jazz with Deron Williams and Al Jefferson. Good but not great. We won't know how good a fit he is long term until Ibaka and KD come back. Unfortunately OKC doesn't get to see that happen before they sign (or don't sign) Kanter to a...

Trailblazers at Jazz: 3/25/15 7 PM Mountain Time

Unfortunately we may live and die based on what kind of game Trey has.

Flip Saunders wants Matt Harpring Fired

You're right that Hot Rod was the best. As for the other point, I couldn't care less what other teams' fans think of our announcers. :)

Jazz 15th In ESPN's Front Office Rankings

You're never going to get much for a player that is half a season from becoming a free agent ... even a restricted free agent. Two issues make this trade have much less value than you would think: 1) Teams that really want him could just wait until the end of the season and go after him as a...

Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

I disagree. Kanter was on his way out one way or the other. DL had seen enough of Favors/Gobert to know they were the frontcourt of the future. It would be foolhardy to spend that much on a bench player that would have been seeing an increasingly diminished role as Gobert progressed. Not...

Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

Just because we could have technically signed him to a max deal due to the jump in the salary cap does not mean it is a wise fiscal decision. The salary cap jump is a short term phenomena. All salaries will increase for all players in short course and I stand by the fact that it would be very...

Is Exum The Worst Player in The NBA Who Gets Minutes?

Yeah, I see what you're saying. It's a gamble that can cut in both directions. Overall, I think the NBA is worse for allowing so much speculation in its draft system. Millions and millions of dollars going to players that bust by not being able to live up to that potential. That happens...

Is Exum The Worst Player in The NBA Who Gets Minutes?

You misunderstood a bit what I was saying. The whole system is flawed by encouraging speculation. I'm not sure what exactly the fix would be, but letting more of these kids spend time playing before they are drafted would be a good thing.

Flip Saunders wants Matt Harpring Fired

I don't think Harpring is that bad. He's definitely a little goofy, but it keeps the broadcast light which is the role of a color man. I think it's ridiculous for Flip Saunders to demand that he be fired. It's not like this is something that isn't talked about all the time by different...

Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

Why do people here not understand that the decision to trade Kanter has nothing to do with whether he's a good player or not? The Jazz have hitched their cart to Favors and Gobert. If you want to argue about whether that was the right or wrong decision, feel free to make your points and back...

Is Exum The Worst Player in The NBA Who Gets Minutes?

Dante is the poster child for why the NBA shouldn't be drafting kids so young. Sure, there are few examples of players that young that are ready to play in the NBA, but by and large they aren't. The current system leads to far too much speculation and by the time the rookie contract is over...

Burke Ranked as 30th Best PF By NBA Execs/Coaches/Players

I would like to see them pick up a point guard project for cheap like they have done with some other players. With either Burks or Hood coming off the bench next year, they will not really need a lot of scoring from PG off the bench. Get someone who plays good defense and can pass. Then, they...

Burke Ranked as 30th Best PF By NBA Execs/Coaches/Players

That's really unfortunate then. Do you have a theory about why he has seemingly "lost his shot"?

Burke Ranked as 30th Best PF By NBA Execs/Coaches/Players

I think he's finding that he doesn't get as many open shots in the NBA, but he likes to shoot them anyway. He is failing to adjust to the reality that the competition is much higher in the NBA and realizing that he will not be able to do all of the same things he did in college.
