    Trey needs to be Traded!

Seems to me that Trey is not responding well to being moved to the bench. Instead of buying into the system and playing his role, he is trying too hard and trying to "audition" every time he touches the ball to show how good he is and how he deserves to be a starter in the league...

    2014-2015 Jazzfanz Official #playoffpush thread #rallychurro

I know that a lot of this season has been a learning process for the team, but being so close now really makes me wish we could have picked up a few more games early on. That 3-16 stretch is weighing heavily now. This team deserves to be in there with the way they are playing now.

This season will vindicate Ty Corbin

Corbin was not on board with what needed to happen here. We had veterans here that should have been helping and coming off the bench (in most cases). Instead of making the development of our young guys the priority, he took every opportunity to lean on the veterans to try to squeak out a few...

So do we still need a star?

I think the question is if we need a superstar. We already have at least 3 players who have shown that they can become stars in this league. But despite that fact, I would certainly be in favor of getting a bigger name if we have the opportunity. But it really would come down to who we can...

As will I! Although we may need to send someone with a #rallybillyclub to the OKC games to make it happen at this point. :)

    2014-2015 Jazzfanz Official #playoffpush thread #rallychurro

I agree. I think #rallychurro may need to come back for next season. With the loss last night, Jazz must go 15-0 and the Thunder must do no better than 7-7 just to tie them. And, to be honest, if it were just about the Jazz winning all those games, I would still be on board. I am really high...

This season will vindicate Ty Corbin

Does it matter if it's the X's and O's or if it's just an environment that the players have bought into? Either way, it's Quin that has brought it to the team. I happen to think that Quin has already shown himself to be a better coach than Ty, however that's not saying too much. But it...

Can someone explain why the Jazz waived Perkins?

I would imagine that it was enough money that we were willing to accommodate him so that he could sign with a team right away. Otherwise, it would have made more sense financially to put him on waivers to see if we could get another team to take on his salary. Problem is that for that much...

Can someone explain why the Jazz waived Perkins?

It's the nature of guaranteed contracts that some players will end up getting money that they don't really merit anymore. And, because of trades, sometimes that money will end up being paid by teams that have no interest in that player. In this particular case, the Jazz had no interest in...

    2014-2015 Jazzfanz Official #playoffpush thread #rallychurro

I love it. The fact that we're even having this discussion is great. There was a thread a week ago where we were talking about even the possibility of a .500 season being a huge longshot. Now that only requires 11-5 to finish. Pour me a glass of the Kool-Aid please!

Jazz sign Bryce Cotton to Multi Year deal

I would guess this is similar to the 3 year deal they gave to Elijah Millsap. I'm really liking these type of deals. If the player ends up being good, they have them locked up for a few years for not much money. If they don't, there is not much guaranteed money on the line.

    1-11

Although I said that I like Burke off the bench, his 1-11 outing does concern me. Players have to be able to adjust if they are that off ... particularly at the PG position. The guy plays as if he's Chris Paul. And, to borrow the cliche line "You sir are no Chris Paul."

Will the Jazz finish at .500

You said that they would be in playoffs in they had "tried winning". Are you backing off that statement now? If you think it was the right choice from Snyder, you can't believe that they would have made the playoffs.

I never meant to suggest that a 3-point shooter that is a liability on defense is a good idea. I just meant that they didn't need to be defensive stopper. Sure would like to have Kyle Korver back now, but that's probably never going to happen now.

Will the Jazz finish at .500

The only reason the team is in the position that they are now is because of the system and Quin's insistence that they learn the system. You're suggesting that had they not done this that somehow they would have won more and made the playoffs???? Ridiculous!

Will the Jazz finish at .500

You think they didn't try winning??? New coach. New system. New players. And not to mention, this team only won 25 games last year. This sort of thing doesn't happen overnight. The fact that we are even discussing the possibility of a .500 season is amazing. To be honest, if this team...

Competing while allowing Dante Exum to develop

What do you mean he doesn't play like a PG? He plays exactly like a PG ... sometimes to a fault. Burks on the other hand is always looking for his shot. I don't blame him for that. It's his style of play. But it would break down our offense to have him as PG. Someone on the floor needs to...

Competing while allowing Dante Exum to develop

He did look a little better, but I will reserve judgment until I see him do it on more than 68 attempts. If he can come back and maintain that percentage on 150-200 attempts, I may change my opinion of his 3-point shooting.

    Shooters

I understand your logic and I would certainly agree that having more players that can hit the 3 is always a good thing. But ok 3-point shooters don't stretch the floor like excellent 3-point shooters even if you 2 or 3 of them. I would much rather have that one player that the opposing defense...
