    Bully-ing

If your local cop just didn't like the way your face looked and pulled you over at every opportunity, came by your house, or just told everyone that you were a sex offender, you would probably sue the *******. How is that different from some punk kid grabbing your kid in the hallway or...

    Bully-ing

To the OP, You think bullying is okay because it is using ones strength to punish or torment or exert dominion over someone who lacks that strength... just like in real life. Well, in real life your boss has power over you. Your government has power over you. Even your generic local...

Millsap ready to play either PF or SF

Harris/Burks Hayward/Burks Sap/Evans/Miles Favors/Sap Jefferson/Kanter/Okur Fixed even better. Don't like Waston. Would rather give Burks a chance at the point since I see the SG position being occupied by Hayward

    Utah's Starting 2.

1: Harris, Burks, Watson or Price if they can be had for super cheap. 2: Hayward, Burks, Miles 3: Milsap, Miles, AK (for 5 mil or less per year--could start when healthy. Just can't bank on it) 4/5: (interchangeable positional post players) Favors, AJ, Kanter I would LOVE it if Burks was...

Who would you rather have? DeMarcus Cousins or Enes Kanter?

I agree in principle. But, it is hard to say for certain since we had a full season of Cousins in college and now a whole NBA season. On all of the intangibles, I'd prefer Kanter. I THINK but do not KNOW that he will be better than Cousins. Regarding Cousins athleticism...this is just a...

ESPN: Bucks and T'Wolves have talked Bogut + 10th pick for 2nd pick

I'm sorry Numberica, but the fact is that fracture/dislocations of the wrist and elbow can be absolutely devastating and can severely limit range of motion and cause pain for the rest of one's life. With fracture involvement of the joint itself, early arthritis is the rule--not the exception...

    Defensive Stoppers in the Lottery

Even Bowen, Bell, and Battier are or were knock-down 3-point shooters. Wings who are strictly one dimensional defensive stoppers would not get enough playing time. One of the reasons I want Singleton is that I think his offense is underrated.

Derrick Willams will be a Jazz man

That would be fine and I would join in the celebration. But, if he doesn't fall to three and we get Kanter, I would celebrate just as hard. In my mind Williams = Kanter = Irving(he might even be a little lower)

    Jazz want a PG

It is because the jazz probably have no interest in trading down. At #3, they are in the perfect position. They get one of the top three guys in Irving, Williams, and Kanter...all of whom could be potentially great but have one or two questions still-lurking. The drop from 3 to 4 is HUGE...

SI Article: "Kanter passes first few tests but team workouts will be key"

I'm not saying that a clean physical exam would ensure anyone of an injury-free career. Actually, I'm quite sure it makes little difference at all long-term. Any player comes with a risk of being injured down the line. A physical exam doesn't even exclude that the player is trying to mask a...

SI Article: "Kanter passes first few tests but team workouts will be key"

I agree he's not a sure thing. My main point is that medical concerns should not be an issue if he checks out on his physical (which he will). I do think he has a higher chance of being truly great than anybody else this year. Irving will be really good, but I think his ceiling is lower. Same...

SI Article: "Kanter passes first few tests but team workouts will be key"

What injury history? I have never seen a good source citing any real knee issues with Kanter. What I saw on one of the photos from his U18 playing days, was a specialized band around his knees worn below the patellae. This is used for Osgood-schlatter syndrome--a painful enthesopathy of...

    Millsap and Hayward to Cavs?

I've gotta believe this is BS. There is no way we would throw away Hawyard just has he is proving KOC right. I don't really think there is that much difference in overall value of the top 3 prospects (Irving, Williams, Kanter) anyway. If the Jazz did this, I would start watching golf.

What are the chances Utah Jazz (3rd) can swap picks with Minnesota (2nd)?

There is a difference between height and size. Borchardt never really had size. While Kanter is (minmally) shorter tha Borchardt, he is a beast. 260# with under 6% body fat.

What are the chances Utah Jazz (3rd) can swap picks with Minnesota (2nd)?

Totally agree with Williams making us weaker on defense. And, what is to make us think that Hayward and Williams will be synergistic on offense? I see Williams as a black hole and would much rather have the ball in Hayward's hands for playmaking. In my mind, Kanter plus Singleton is a much...

    2012 GS for 6-8 2011?

Interesting idea. A haul of Kanter, Knight, and Singleton would have us back in the mix. I wouldn't be down with taking knight #3 over Irving, Williams, or Kanter. But, he'd be great to pick up with a 6th if we can trade for it. We would have a solid NBA starter and backup at all 5 positions...

Is it me or does the # 3 pick seem just as good at the #6

Well, we will see I guess. But, if you go back to my original post, I did not say that he would get 10 rebounds per 25 minutes played. I said that if he gets AT LEAST 25 minutes per game, then we could expect him to average those totals over the course of games where he got AT LEAST 25 minutes...

Is it me or does the # 3 pick seem just as good at the #6

Realistic or not, that is my prediction. If he gets fewer minutes, I believe it will still hold up on a per minute basis. But, he may not be able to keep up the same energy over 35 minutes--although his conditioning seems pretty solid.

Is it me or does the # 3 pick seem just as good at the #6

I guess we will see in a few months who is right and who is wrong. BUT, I think you are a complete moron if you honestly believe Kanter is as weak, slow, or unathletic as Koufus (who may end up being a solid NBA back-up anyway). Why are so many people so quick to discount a 34 point effort...

Is it me or does the # 3 pick seem just as good at the #6

Really? To me, it seems like number 3 is just as good as 1 or 2. After 3, it all falls apart. In case you haven't noticed, Enes Kanter is proving that he has size, power, and athleticism usually reserved for number 1 picks. We would be LUCKY if he is available at 3 after all is said and...
