Chad Ford on Utah Jazz picks and Jimmer

Jan Vesely is going to be an all-star in this league. He's a super athletic 6'11" inside/outside scoring machine and explosive as heck. His 39 inch vertical leap is incredible for a 6'11" player. Much better prospect than Danilo Gallinari ever was and he's turned out to be a darn good...

    2011 draft.....

Personally, my ideal Jazz draft would be... #3 Jan Vesely #12 Marshon Brooks But, if the Jazz draft Jimmer, I'll understand. Team needs a PG of the future and Jimmer plays a lot like D-Will minus the tattoos.

    He will and then some.

    Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts

Marshon Brooks is a great guy and a Kobe-esque talent at SG with an all-star future that the Jazz will pass on, because the Jazz are the Jazz. You don't pass on a Marshon Brooks unless you have severe brain damage. You thought Wes Matthews was good this past season? Brooks is 2X the...

    Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts

If there's a white senior bench player from BYU who averaged 9 points a game in college, you can bet he'll be in for a workout with the Jazz.

    2011 draft.....

Regardless of who the Jazz draft, one thing it certain. Two more white guys will be added to the Jazz. #3 Kanter #12 Jimmer Although I would prefer... #3 Vesely #12 Jimmer Vesely is going to be a really exciting 6'11" forward in this league.

Jimmer #12 is going to be Jimmer.

    2011 draft.....

SF #6 and PG #12 #6 Jan Vesely or Perry Jones #12 Jimmer Fredette or Brandon Knight Simple as that. Would be a GREAT draft for the Jazz.

Jazz looking at Jimmer Freddette #6 and Jon Leuer #12 ?

I'd rather the Jazz go for Jan Vesely #6. Athletic 6'11" SF who plays an energetic game, loves to dunk and shoots with range. Jimmer would be a better pick at #12, because the Jazz could get top SF prospect at #6. There will still be good PGs available at #12 like (possibly) Jimmer, Kemba...

Jazz looking at Jimmer Freddette #6 and Jon Leuer #12 ?

Jazz looking at Jimmer Fredette #6 and Jon Leuer #12 ? I understand the Jazz are in love with Jimmer at #6 and are said to be leaning towards Jon Leuer the 6-10 forward of Wisconsin at #12. What do you guys think?

For those of you who don't like Jimmer...

If Beno Udrih can start in the NBA, so can Jimmer who's 2X more talented.

For those of you who don't like Jimmer...

If you'd be pissed about drafting Jimmer in the lottery, but weren't pissed about drafting Hayward in the lottery, then you have no credibility. Jimmer is a MUCH better prospect at his position than Hayward ever was at his.

    2011 draft.....

Perry Jones is a SF. Thurl Bailey clone. He could play alongside PFs Millsap, Favors and Harrington. Jan Vesely is a SF too. I think #6 is between Perry Jones, Jan Vesely and Jimmer. Don't think Harrison Barnes will fall past #3.

    2011 draft.....

He has nothing to do with it.

    2011 draft.....

You're right. If the Jazz want Jimmer, they'll have to take him at #6 and then take someone like Kawhi Leonard, Nikola Mirotic or Justin Harper at #14. All combo forwards who would probably play SF on the Jazz.

    2011 draft.....

Jimmer will be a better pro than Kemba Walker, so why wouldn't the Jazz take Jimmer? Magic Johnson, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose all say Jimmer is the real deal and have high praise for him. In fact, Durant and Rose both played against Jimmer last summer, so I think they know what they're...

    2011 draft.....

Fess doesn't have a post up game to speak of. Ante Tomic has a Roy Hibbert-like post up game that at times also resembles Pau Gasol. Tomic just has to get stronger like Hibbert and Gasol did. Euro stats mean nothing. Lots of good NBA players have averaged single digits in the Euro league.

    2011 draft.....

Sure Ante Tomic can play C in the NBA. He's 7'2" 240 lbs. and a skilled low post scorer. I see a lot of Roy Hibbert in him with a touch of Pau Gasol.

    2011 draft.....

Kanter is worth a look. He's only 18 and 6'10". What if he's still growing? Blake Griffin blew out a knee too. Look at him now. The younger the player, the greater chance of a full recovery. If the Jazz are convinced they can get Ante Tomic over here to play C, they'll probably look...

    2011 draft.....

Pretty sure the Jazz would love to have Pau Gasol at C, Dirk Nowitski at PF or Danilo Gallinari at SF about now.
