    Millsap whining again

    Millsap whining again

hack, i'm just curious... you say you have insider information on trades that the jazz have been offered, but you also say you hate KOC and think he's a moron. i'm just wondering how it works that you're so plugged in to what is coming across KOC's desk, and yet you think he's a moron. earnest...

I had a dream last night about jazz

this thread is exactly why i get a little excited everytime jefferson comes up limping.

    Pick a trade

this is true for al, but there's no way paul agrees to a veteran extension, because it would be based on his current cap hit, which is extremely low because of how portland front-loaded the RFA deal years ago. so the most he could agree to would be that 3 yr, 25M deal the jazz offered him over...

    Pick a trade

are these really things that have been discussed or even offered? a) green doesn't really give us anything we need (and that's when he plays) and the celtics' picks are going to be mid-first rounders at best. b) no way i'd do millsap for tyrus thomas. c) the most intriguing one, although...

    Millsap whining again

i'm with you in this thread in overall terms, but i'm not sure i can endorse "he's playing poorly." in the last 5 games, he has 54 points on 47 shots (1.15 pps) and has played far better defense than al and even better than derrick has been in certain long stretches where he got exposed...

    Millsap whining again

his answer didn't bother me... but i will admit that i knew as soon as i read it that it would bother some people. the dude's a competitor, and he has carried the jazz on his back far more than anybody on this team other than al. what's more, he has frequently shown a willingness to do the...

Attendence stats w/a bit of history for perspective

I wouldn't read too much into ytd attendance as of mid December. Attendance always starts low and then tapers up, leafy wide. College football, nfl, holidays and the fact that the games don't mean a lot yet all make it so that attendance usually takes until the new year to start looking normal.

    Our GSW 2013 Draft Pick

i still have my doubts about golden state. their style of play is such that they'll have good stretches and bad stretches. they're a very jump-shot-reliant team which is fine right now because they're going in, but it only takes one protracted dry spell or one key injury to throw things out of...

    Trade that almost happened?

pretty sure you just described mo.

ESPN Insider - Why a Millsap-Gasol trade works

for starters, i hate the "wrong side of 30" argument. there is no wrong side of 30. some of the all-time greats needed until their 30s to really understand the game and put all the pieces together -- that was true of jordan, true of dream, certainly true of our franchise's best two guys. so...

The *Official* Chauncey Billups Flopping Fine Thread

he actually did the jump-to-the-side challenge, specifically to avoid contact. mo didn't even come close to making contact, until billups found him with the left leg - a play that is supposed to called an OFFENSIVE foul.

Al Jefferson - Not nearly bothering me as much this year.

jefferson is as horrible defensively as he has ever been, don't kid yourself. but yes, on offense he has had a few games where he's been other-worldly.

NBA Columnist/Cavs Insider Sam Amico: "Jazz have made Burks available"

that bolded part is my main thesis. carroll got minutes because he absolutely forced corbin to play him in ways that had nothing to do with his talent level or ability to put the ball in the hoop. if burks did the same thing, we wouldn't be whining about his minutes.

NBA Columnist/Cavs Insider Sam Amico: "Jazz have made Burks available"

you have it backwards though. you don't develop a guy by giving him minutes he hasn't earned. you help him develop and THEN he gets minutes. burks had a 4-game stretch to show he was ready to make a positive difference and he didn't. again, that's fine. he's young, he's inconsistent, he'll get...

The Jazz are exactly were they were expected to be

no team wins 100% of its winnable games. nobody. much less a fairly middling team like these jazz.

The Jazz are exactly were they were expected to be

yeah, there's no reason to panic at all. 6-6 is actually a decent record given the quality of opponents and the home/road slate. as of 1/12, the jazz will have played 23 road games and only 13 at home. if they're at .500 on the morning of january 13th, they're going to the playoffs for sure...

NBA Columnist/Cavs Insider Sam Amico: "Jazz have made Burks available"

here's the thing, fish: alec is good. nobody's questioning that. i think he's a very good player and i hope he's part of a very bright future for the jazz. but this team has 11 or 12 rotation-ready guys. some guys are going to have to take turns, and that means the best way to ensure a role is...
