That's always been my worry with him. His body language has always reminded me of Kirk Snyder, who I don't think ever wanted to be on the Jazz.

Last time I checked various media outlets, even they couldn't agree: 2013 – top 7 protected (per Draft Express, ESPN.com) or top 6 protected (per RealGM, Sheridan Hoops) I'm sure it'll be cleared up later in the season.

It sounds like he won't give them a price break (accept a payment lower than his entire contract), so the Jazz don't really have any motivation to let him go. If he won't give them a break, they might as well hang on to the contract just in case it becomes useful as filler in a trade.
