    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I’m good with picking up Ayton in a Donovan move. 1) Won’t win us games by himself 2) Quality piece to build around in the future 3) Good young player we can rehab value for + flip for draft capital in a millisecond Consistent with Commander Singe’s tank brigade.

    Anything is Possible Now

I can understand the logic. But I think what we “know” we have in Donovan is not someone who will ever be the core piece in a championship team. You get the chance to flip him for 4-5 first round picks, it’s an easy decision.

    Gobert to Minnesota

Nobody in the NBA cares about HoopsHype. Pretty sure GMs would dump all over that article. By any metric Rudy is an elite NBA player. Don is overrated and on the decline, we’d be smart to capitalize on his inflated perceived value now.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

If you can more, by all means. Just saying I would flip DM for 4 firsts under our current circumstances if that’s the best offer.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

4 for DM is fair. Rudy is a better player. Take whichever picks will definitely convey next year + future unprotected and let’s roll.

    Ayton

If it’s Bojan + filler + one late first…fine. Any more I’m not onboard. If we’re going to tank, let’s tank the **** out of this thing, and give us the best chance possible to be in the top 2 in the 2023 draft. That would be a transformational pick.

Build a Statue for Rudy anyways

His first return game to SLC is one I would like to be at. The reunion video + standing O will be something.

    Gobert to Minnesota

Yep. Not to mention - a “bad” (mid to late) first round pick can have tremendous long-term value. Teams want to buy into the first round on draft night for their guy and offer something unprotected in the future. Never know what some of these turn into.

Build a Statue for Rudy anyways

Rudy is my favorite Jazzman ever. Minny just became my #2 team.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

This is absolutely a tank, IMO. If we wanted to win, Rudy wouldn't be gone for a haul of crap + a boatload of draft capital. Danny has been around the ****ing block. He is not looking at 6'1" Donovan Mitchell who plays garbage defense and is saying to himself "this is the guy we're going to...

Listen to Andy, not Tony. Tony says nothing.

    Gobert to Minnesota

Would much prefer to dump Donovan than give up some of these trade assets for DeAndre Ayton. IMO, building around Donovan will never be a championship-caliber team.

Jazz are Setting Up a Tank

I would be extremely selective in any young talent that was targeted for long-term purposes. If we tank now, picking top 3 in the 2023 draft is the priority. Draft picks + garbage expiring contracts are our friend.

Royce to Brooklyn for a first rounder

This is not a token roster move to pick up an asset, clearly it's the first step in unraveling the roster. Tank Commander Danny Ainge taking charge.

Jazz are Setting Up a Tank

Tank is really the only way forward, IMO. It’s a certainty this roster won’t win so why delay the inevitable? The ASG? No chance. My vote is take as many FRPs + as much crap as you can for Rudy and Donovan. NYK would be ideal given the near-term proximity of using a number of their picks (we...

    Terrible Take: Westbrook

Maybe with 10 first round picks attached.

    Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

Trading Rudy, but not blowing it up and trying to stay weakly competitive with a fringe playoff roster, is like the dumbest/lamest thing we could do. I’d be so pissed.
