July 9th, Summer League Game 2: Jazz vs Rockets 1:00 PM MT

One the main qualities a player needs to be great is "having the ability to self-evaluate and know what to do/change for the future." You can just see it in his eyes when he speaks that he's sincere about figuring things out and you just believe it when listening to him talk. I'm excited...

    Summer League (overall)

What was that stat? KO shot 66/100 on 3-point drill the Jazz runs ever player through during their player evalation... good enough for BEST EVER of anyone that has done that drill. He's showing off that jumper in summer league... It's easy to see why the Jazz were targeting him to play with...

    Mays, Roberts and Christmas

Tinsley is almost a MUST to be resigned... with the youth movement on we need an elder statesman just for the sake of having someone that has been through the grind. We can't really rely on Hayward at this point, being the eldest of the Core5, although I'm happy he's showing the leadership to...

    Summer League (overall)

From what I've read... there is mutual interest from both sides for Jennings to return to Milwaukee.

    Mays, Roberts and Christmas

Yeah... I agree. Bring these guys in. Christmas looked good today stroking his jumper. Mays banged around the inside and played with heart. Roberts slashed around the court and made a couple plays here and there. If anything, they should bring some positive energy to training camp.

July 7th, Summer League Game 1: Utah vs. Miami

I think everyone is missing the main takeaway from the game today: The number of high-5's Gobert threw around! It was like he channeling his inner Steve Nash. He plays hard and he's a great, encouraging teammate... whats not to like?

Stockton IS involved with the Jazz

The only thing I needed to hear about Gobert was from Sloan... something along the lines of "Watch out for that big guy, he plays hard" If Sloan thinks Gobert plays hard... then we've got a tremendous talent on our hands. Not to mention Gobert is the next Steve Nash... did you see how many...

    Rašid Mahalbašić as insurance big.

That may be so, but what happens if Favors or Kanter were to go down for a substantial period of time?? I like what I saw out of Gobert today, but can we really trust him or Evans. I'm not even including Biedrins... he's a waste as far as I'm concerned. Nothing wrong with a camp invite...

    Rašid Mahalbašić as insurance big.

that was one play... and throwing that to oop to an athletic Chris Roberts. Also, Mahalbašić was showing great interior passing... tough to find nowadays. It will make our other bigs happy. :)

July 7th, Summer League Game 1: Utah vs. Miami

Burke was able to get into the lane at points... but when there's no one to dish the ball to, he's left to flip up a tough fadeway lay-up. This sort of play was probably a lot easier in college, so this is definitely a concern. I bet he figures it out in a couple games and will continue to...

    Rašid Mahalbašić as insurance big.

Not an overwhelming stat line in game 1... 13 minutes: 3pts, 2 rebs, 3 ast, 2 stl, 1 block, and 1 TO Although, you have to be impressed with his poise in the post and especially the ability to set-up his teammates (3 fantastic assists - at one point, was the best passer in the game, even...

Michael Stockton to play for Utah in Summer League

I think most of us realize Michael will never be the player his dad was, statistically. Although, I think he can bring that same kind of work ethic, competitiveness, and team-first mentality. That's all anyone can really ask for.

kirilenko is available, maybe boozer also

At the right price... who wouldn't want AK to retire with our our organization. He's good for the locker room, and he's always for the TEAM. He's the best passer our team has seen since Stockton left and he'll be a more than adequate backup forward who will get our young bigs easy baskets.

Michael Stockton to play for Utah in Summer League

Looks like some of us Jazz fans, including me are going to be happy about Michael Stockton getting another chance to crack the roster. Anybody else excited to the watch the heady young lefty? By my account, he would've put a great 3rd option PG, a much better shooting one than Watson anways.

Possible unddrafted free agents for the jazz.

We should go international, by way of St. Mary's. Matthew Dellavedova! He's a basketball player plain and simple, some say he lacks athleticism, but his vision and playmaking rival anyone in this draft. It's a shame he didn't get drafted after an outstanding college career but I would love...

It may not rhyme... but it's now the Core 5

Starting line-up on opening day... PG - Burke SG - Burks SF - Hayward PF - Favors C - Kanter Those 5 players right there is good enough for a playoff spot and perhaps 1 or 2 playoff series wins next year. Thought 14 and 21 would be too much to give up for Burke. But we just might...

    Junkyard Dog

There's been absolutely no reason Carroll didn't get more playing time this season. A few more minutes here and there could have made the difference in a few games. Players like JYD straight up win ball games for you. Jazz management needs to do everything in their power to retain JYD.

    Pau Gasol?

As much as I don't want Pau Gasol's old legs, I can definitely see him as a Vlade Divac type player with our team. Gasol instantly upgrades our passing game and he won't take a lot of shots away from our young bigs. For the right price... this move should be made.

Screw it.. GAME #82 Jazz playing another basketball game in Memphis 4/17 6PM Utah Time ESPN

Us loyal fans deserve a more inspired effort by our team. Very disappointing to see all our talent unable to put the ball in the hoop.
