who will be our 2nd best player for the upcoming season?

This is kind of what prompted the question in my mind. I think the separation between these 3 might be pretty slim. I think it will be interesting to see who opposing teams decide to focus their defensive efforts on. I would think probably Hood gets a lot of that attention now.

who will be our 2nd best player for the upcoming season?

After Gobert, I honestly think you could make the case for any of Rubio, Hood, Favors (assuming good health), or maybe even Ingles as the 2nd best player on the roster as it stands now. A couple of metrics for each over the past season: Rubio: 16.8 PER, 6.1 WS Hood: 12.4 PER, 2.6 WS...

I've been pleasantly surprised by what he has shown as a rookie. Honest question: How does he compare to Kanter on the defensive end? I mean I...

Why do we play so slow?

I don't know that they are playing more but I think one could argue that they should if we're trying to win more games. The drop-off from the starters to the bench is basically a cliff. I honestly think adding real bench depth might be as important for improving this team as anything else...

Why do we play so slow?

Because playing fast doesn't directly correlate to wins. How many games are the 76ers and Nuggets winning? Maybe there is a middle ground and we shouldn't be the slowest in the league but I do think our defense suffers when the pace of play picks up, for whatever reason.
