Less Miles, more Evans & Hayward

Evans needs to develop an NBA body. With the frame he has, he is very liable for injuries and that would not only hurt the team but also his development. Hayward is more NBA ready, but still I wouldn't play him more than 25 Minutes in his rookie year for the same health risk reasons like with Evans.

12/13 Golden State Warriors at Utah Jazz 7:00pm MST

I suppose Sloan wants to prevent that Evans gets hurt. As long this dude doesn't have enough muscles he can not sustain the energy level of an NBA game for long so in case he stays in the game, the chance to get hurt might increase. If I'd be his coach I'd take him out also after max 15 minutes...

The Cavs will be blown up

I'd get Lebron. He is a productive SF, can drive to the basket, has a good range and NBA 1st or 2nd team member defensevely. Not so ice cold at crunch time, but can help to lift the Jazz from the first/second quarter slumps.

Ex Jazz players exceed in their respective new teams

This reference to Kayser Soze is pretty cool, I loved that film a lot. I didn't remember that Matthews has scored that much in a game. Anyways I liked him and I wish good luck. There are a lot of Utah Jazz fans, because Utah plays appealing basketball, and "Stockton to Malone" is a phrase that...

Ex Jazz players exceed in their respective new teams

Are you seriously calling a performance of scoring 20 points or above by a role player - even if it was a preseason game - as an expected improvement? I'm really curious how this will develop. And I hope, too, that tomorrow the Jazz have an answer to Matthews ;)

Ex Jazz players exceed in their respective new teams

My first thread... Hello Everyone! Wesley Matthews - 20 pts in 20 minutes Kyle Korver - 22 pts in 28 minutes not bad... without trying to devalue Sloan's system, but this is still more than fortunate coincidence. I really didn't expect these players to be so good after leaving Utah.
