Hopelessly difficult contest. This is one of those morale-killing, Deron-complaining, JazzFanz-imploding, losses.

Why so pessimistic? If anything Deron showed he wants to be part of this team in the game against Denver. He looked revitalised and everyone fed off his energy. I think the Denver game was a signal of a change in momentum in the Jazz season. Pretty confident the Jazz can win against Thunder. Millsap needs to step it up though!

I haven't seen any yet but anybody else hear any word on AK tonight? If he can't go I expect a similar result/treatment of Hayward on Durant as with Melo, they both get to the line a ton albeit in completely different ways and styles. At least Evens can much up better on Durant then on Melo so hopefully if needed that will help and maybe let him grab a few more minutes.

I cannot wait for tonight's game. It will tell us a lot.

Given the losing streak, then injuries and that gutwrenching loss to the Rockets after a scrappy performance - I was beyond encouraged by last night's road win.

However, tonight will be huge. Not only for getting back on a winning streak's sake, but for defending our home court and getting some confidence back. Hopefully ESA is packed and rocking at tip. There have been some awfully weak home crowds this season...

On the court, hopefully D-Will's wrist isn't too sore from last night... If he feels good I think we roll. Watching those games he missed from the bench probably gave him a great perspective on what he has to roll with on the court. I also anticipate Paul stepping up big tonight as well.

Go Jazz!!!

I saw a tweet last nite from tribjazz after the game that AK told him he was unlikely to play Saturday, probably Monday.

I agree. Hayward , I assume will start, last 4-6 minutes in the 1st and 3rd. Rookie dues. He plays nice defense and is quite physical. Refs like to punish rookies though.

If the refs **** with Heyword again, AT HOME NO LESS, I will be irked. Let the dude get some serious burn, please. He's got Stock-like potential. Yes or no about Stock-like potential?

I think Hayward has great potential. I hate the NBA fouls calling based on who you are.

Hayward may look 12, but he plays very phyical. Even Butler, the darlings of last years NCAA tournament all looked like the kid next door. All the teams they
knocked off said it was one of the more phyical teams they played.

I like the way Hayward does not take cr%p from anyone on post ups etc.....

Like you, let's keep the whistle closed for a little while.

Hayward is great in transition as well.

As I have stated before, I really like both rooks.

Evans is pure fun to watch and seems like such a nice kid. As does Hayward. I want to see both of them get regular burn the rest of the way.

Officiating will play a huge role(as in any game but especially tonight) if you remember last time we played them they shot 34 freebies making 33 of them. utah shot 22 total that game. this team can live at the line for stretches of game and they convert free throws at a high rate. This is why the jazz can have trouble with them because they foul too much sometimes.

Last week I would would say this is a loss. But that win in Denver could be season changing, especially with the Smith knock-down and the team's response. Even fes and Hayward jumped to their feet, fes had to be held back---

Together with Bell finally playing like he should, and Jefferson still coming along. There's a chance.....

I give it 3 minutes until the first foul is drawn by Durant, for swinging his arms into Too Big's on a "shot attempt". I hate that call.

I wish someone would (and this is easier on Durant then Melo cause he's skinny) really foul them hard not dirty but pushing the boundaries of a hard foul. You know these guys are going to get their calls by swinging their arms into your chest, face or whatever on their way up to shoot, so one of these times just earn the GD foul even if it gives you a T and let them know you ain't just taken their **** all night.

I'm with this!!! That call is Bull Shiite!!

Well this is a huge game for the Jazz. They have already lost to OKC once at ESA besides being for games back in the loss column. I just hope the Jazz come out and play like they did last night. Even though I want the Jazz to win, I can live with them losing if they give the effort and play together.

We beat Denver, which means I cannot remember a single negative thing about the Jazz any more.

Jazz by 27.
