Today I ran into Steve Brown into the fanzz store, and talked to him for a little bit about the trade and his thoughts. He said and I quote, that yesterday all of jazz media-men (reporters, news sportsmen, etc) were doing handsprings out of excitement. He told me that Deron Williams was the biggest A$$ that he had ever interviewed or covered in his 20+ years of working for the jazz organization. He said that he was a jerk who treated everyone and everything like utter garbage. (once calling rod zundel a Mother F'er when zundel had walked away in front of all the other media members) I was really suprised when he told me this.. I for one am still nervous about this trade from a talent perspective.. but I guess the reporters and Media are happy that deron is gone!! and thats all that matters... Interesting though, how bad steve brown and these guys hated him.

Dude, they have that ******** on instead of Tony Bruno. Bruno's show is amazing. Brown's show talks about hamburgers from Beaver City everyday conversation **** like that.

The cameras were on when Deron called Zundel an idiot. He wasn't trying to talk behind his back, simply preaching the truth. It was really amusing watching Zundel desperately trying to destroy Deron's rep with Jazz fans after the Sloan press conference though.

**** Steve Brown. That guy's an embarrassment and a terrible broadcaster. It's no surprise that some members of the media didn't care for Deron -- Deron isn't all about the media and can barely stand to talk to those depthless walking haircuts. That's one of the things I respect most about him. Steve Brown disliking Deron Williams is utterly irrelevant to everything happening on this planet. The fact that he is eager to trash D-Will as soon as he's gone to random strangers at Fanzz stores only illustrates the cosmic levels of that idiot's classlessness.

And he's a bumbling incoherent interviewer.

I was thinking about the Jazz-Bulls game when D-Will turned the ball over twice and made a horrid pass to Al Jefferson all in the last 2 minutes. He would get crucified here for playing like that down the stretch and have 25 reporters from a dozen daily papers in his face after the game asking him why he screwed up. Mike Franchesa would do a 25 minute rant about the last 2 minutes of the game alone on his sports talk show the next day.

His only saving grace is nobody cares about The Nets right now because of Carmelo.

Yea, I really don't care about what reporters say after the fact. I had a friend who knew a reporter back in the Stockton and Malone days who said Stockton was a jackass to reporters sometimes. Did I believe it? It didn't really matter to me as long as he played well. DW might be a jackass but sometimes the media are too. In the end it is simply a person's opinion. Heci I am an ******* some times but I try to be a good human being. DW has also done a lot in the community so maybe he isn't such a jerk all the time. If I remember correctly I think DW even said he was an ******* sometimes so I don't think it is any surprise that everyone is saying anything new.

Brown is mad because he wanted to water his yard in peace, but deron kept bugging him about some boxes he needed to move.
