Freakazoid had a good idea to do my own power ranking. I thought it would be fun for anyone who would like to take part.

Free agency is just about done with so we can assume that most teams will stay put with personnel (the Dwightmare being the still undecided factor).

Here is my list:

1. Miami Heat
2. Oklahoma City Thunder
3. San Antonio Spurs
4. Los Angeles Lakers
5. Los Angeles Clippers
6. Indiana Pacers
7. Boston Celtics
8. Memphis Grizzlies
9. Denver Nuggets
10. Orlando Magic (Subject to change if/when Howard is traded)
11. Brooklyn Nets
12. Dallas Mavericks
13. Utah Jazz
14. Chicago Bulls
15. Philadelphia 76ers
16. New York Knicks
17. Atlanta Hawks
18. Minnesota Timberwolves
19. Golden State Warriors
20. Milwaukee Bucks
21. Portland Trail Blazers
22. Cleveland Cavaliers
23. Detroit Pistons
24. Phoenix Suns
25. Toronto Raptors
26. Sacramento Kings
27. Houston Rockets
28. New Orleans Hornets
29. Washington Wizards
30. Charlotte Bobcats

Honestly, 21-30 is a crap shoot. I feel very good about my top 20 though.

I think Portland is definitely a better team than the Bucks (if this is just based off how good they are at least, rather than a projection of records).

Atlanta is too high, they just lost Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson. Who on their team can hit a jump shot?

John Jenkins. Also, without the ball stopper aka Joe Johnson, I think their offense will have more rhythm to it and not so many iso's. That may make that team better immediately.

Also, I think you all have Phoenix way to high up on the list. They might be the worst team next year. Their best player might be Marcin Gortat. I could see them being one of those underdog teams that works together and gets a respectable record, but they will probably be a bottom 5 team.

I am worried about where I have the Suns. Again, 21-30 is a crap shoot.

Yeah, that is a glaring error. They are a top 8 team, even without Rose just because of their defensive ability.

I guess we will just have to see. Their depth is no what it used to be. Their starting PG is Hinrich. I like him, but he is not a true starting PG in this league anymore.

Yep, I agree. Rose is the engine that makes that team go. I see them down in the 5-7 range in terms of playoff seeding depending on when Rose comes back and how long it takes him to become a dominant force again. But they could make a nice playoff run from that spot.
