Went for Siro as #1, Wes as #2, and Spycam as #3. All the others had fatal flaws.

LazyD - cucumber sandwich, what the heck? Cucumbers are a topping, not a main ingredient

White Chocolate - I hate chicken salad. Every year or two I decide my memory must be playing tricks on me and I'll have another chicken salad sandwich. And then I hate it and go another couple of years before trying it again.

FishOnJazz - Egg salad is even worse than chicken salad. Plus I'm allergic to peanut butter.

Saint Cy - Chicken biscuit is a step up from chicken salad, but still something I generally dislike. Plus, the peanut butter thing again.

Yes, I wont hold it against you for not voting for sandwiches that will actually kill you.

If it had just been the peanut butter I might have overlooked it, but you had the chicken biscuit and fish had the egg salad, neither of which I like.

Went with Spy for decadence, then Siro for his 'global' perspective, now I'm gonna go a classic .... it's gotta be Fish.

This one is hard. Gonna have to go with fish here.

Spycam might win due to dominating 3rd place votes.

Tough call for 3rd, but I'll go with Wes/Gyp/KEK/etc. In spite of his #1, which I know people love the Reuben but I detest sauerkraut. Still, I could live on a diet of BLTs, Gyro's, and Chicken Parm Subs.

Some other needless comments on the others:

LazyD: The Philly Cheesesteak is divine, and might be my 2nd favorite sandwich in the whole list. The others are fine, and big points for the ice cream sandwich pick. But the cucumber sandwich pick almost negates that, though I've never been big on just plain vegetable sandwiches, like a tomato sandwich.

Siro: Since this is all subjective, I don't care for Cubans at all, mostly because they traditionally contain mustard and pickles, two things I detest (with *****). Still it's a solid choice. The Donar and Hero are great choices. I have no idea what the last one is, perhaps I'm not that cultured.

Fish: Like I said in a previous post, the PB&J is the best value pick there. The Club is fine, but apparently I don't like pastrami as much as you do. Though I don't hate it either.

Cy: The Shrimp Po Boy is another underrated choice. I wish you could find them more around these neck of the woods to be honest. And the Elvis is shockingly great too. I have no idea what the 4th one is on your list. Again, the unculturedness in me.

And thus ends my sandwich commentary. It was fun.

I expected to do a bit better, but looking at my choices they are undeniably southern so I can understand why people arent feeling them.

Ok, having looked up a muffuletta, if wikipedia is accurate, this is what it is:

A traditional-style muffuletta sandwich consists of a muffuletta loaf split horizontally and covered with layers of marinated olive salad, mortadella, salami, mozzarella, ham, and provolone. The sandwich is sometimes heated to soften the provolone.[5] Quarter, half, and full-sized muffulettas are sold.

That actually sounds really damn good, though I've never had olive salad so that could be questionable. I'm not that into olives, but the mixture of it (olives, garlic, sweet peppers, herbs, spices, other various items) sounds like it could be exquisite.

I also looked up the Ribeye Banh Mi, and I know now what it is and have had it. They are ok to me, though they aren't totally my cup of tea. My sister loves them, and it feels like there's a thousand Vietnamese places in Seattle that do them the last time I was there.

Pastrami may well be the king of meats. One of my favorite things to cook on my smoker. I make a chipotle and mixed pepper-corn rubbed pastrami, smoked with a mix of hickory and apply. It is awesome.

It is really good. You need to try it.
