What's new

Al Jefferson is not tradeable.

I have heard plenty from Utah fans who want more room for rooks, 2nd year players, whatever.

The fact is, Al Jefferson has been carrying this team throughout Millsap's apparent lapse and has been Utah's best player for the season bar none.

I have been on record being willing to let go of Al for Rondo. That is the only player I would take in exchange. Without a huge upgrade in the Jazz's playmaking ability Al Jefferson's ability to create a decent % shot late in the clock is irreplaceable. Right now Utah has no offense. We pass the ball around the perimeter looking for wings that could cut until the clock is under 12 secs. Then it's time to just pass the ball to Al.

Without Al Jefferson this offense would be absolutely awful. There is no other player that can be relied upon to make something happen when our retarded offense fails to create an easy shot. You guys cry about Al's bad shots but no one is building a case for how great our offense would be without him.

Unless you want Utah to tank Al Jefferson is untradeable throughout the season.

Where did this myth come from that Utah's offense is awful without Jefferson?

Utah's offense has been fine in games that Al Jefferson has missed. A ton of that is because there's actual ball movement.

Whatever extra good Big Al brings on offense is completely wiped away by his ineptitude on defense.

How many shots Al chucked in last 5 minutes of Minny game? H went something like 1/5 or so. Very clutch. In playoff teams will just rev up their defensive effort not just late in the game but whole 48 minutes and Al would become even less reliable.

To where, though?

When you stop swirling, and the tears are falling, it's time to take the next step: smelling. Agitating the poop vaporizes it, and the thin sheet of liquid on the sides of the glass evaporates rapidly; the result is an intensification of the aromas. If the glass narrows at the top, the aromas are further concentrated. Stick your nose right into the bowl and inhale. Brown notes.

I agree. What's funny is around the league, a lot of teams play even better without their "star." Take away Jefferson and there will be games the Jazz struggle. But I doubt our record is any different. I'd actually like to see the ball moving around more. We might even find Harris can drive and dish without a big lug clogging up the middle and demanding the ball.

This is a joke. We can still score baskets with fluid ball movement. We have several talented passers on this team. Al Jeff is a black. hole.

He only has a year and a half left on his contract. Just because of that he is tradeable. We would probably have to take on a worse contract (money or length wise) to get rid of him most likely.

/sigh

Let me explain something to you Brown about basketball

When you take as many shots as you score points, that's not good basketball
When you don't play crap for defense, that's not good basketball
When you don't hustle after anything, that's not good basketball
When you routinely don't box out, that's not good basketball
When you get to the line... Well hardly never, that's not good basketball

The problem though is that "fluid ball movement" is even more streaky than Jefferson's streaks. We are pretty much stuck between two crappy options right now and Corbin isn't sure about what to do.

AL Jefferson needs to be moved this off season. If we move him before that we will get less in return and we may start winning, thereby causing us to lose our pick.
