I'm not one to usually care what the national media thinks about the Jazz, but this is ridiculous. They can't get Al Jefferson's name right? Just goes to show you that they have some real numbskulls working over there at ESPN.

I personally thought Alec Burks was the only person with that name. But apparently it's common enough for someone to naturally assume that Al is short for Alec.

?? You created a new account just to whine about that? You must have WAYYYY too much time on your hand..

Yeah, somebody created an account in July of 2010 just so they could "whine" about ESPN's stupidity in Feb 2012... who are you accusing of that anyway?
I'm just a long time lurker who thinks that a national sports TV station should at the very least get a player's name right in the graphics.

Don't worry about Hottttttttnickkkkkkkkkkk, he's not exactly the sharpest guy here.

LOL.. and you conveniently forgot to include yourself.

Typical.
Apparently you have never heard or don't know what "pot calling the kettle black" means. I'll be the first to call myself an *******, the difference is I'm not hounding on someone that actually raises a good point and then totally fail at that.

Getting to the point of the thread, I too have a real problem with professionals that can't get names right. It's pretty pathetic, especially when it's a graphic since there are multiple chances for someone to go "wait, that's not right".

It's even sadder when Boler calls Alec "Eric Burks". Your one job is too announce Jazz games and you can't get player's names right?

Oh god yes. Although I can understand how when the Jazz are playing Dallas everyone is constantly confused 'Haywood' and 'Hayward'. I also laugh on occasion.
