Eminence's Case:
Just a quick write-up here, if anyone has any specific questions feel free to ask!
Team Eminence Rough Rotation Guide:
PG: Curry (36) / West (12)
SG: West (24) / Moncrief (12) / Oladipo (12)
SF: Hondo (30) / Deng (18)
PF: Green (36) / Odom (12)
C: Walton (36) / Thurmond (12)
Key Offensive Points:
-Off ball movement and team passing (decent to great passers all through my lineup), he has some strong defenders in the starting lineup, but it's always tough to defend a good team offense.
-Use Curry/West to hunt for switches, none of his bigs are known for great defending on the perimeter (Mutombo in particular), hunt for these situations, it'll generate great looks for us.
-Put Walton in the high post and leverage his passing from there to hit cutters/shooters, pull Mutombo away from the rim.
-His bench is much weaker defensively, especially on the perimeter, target when they're in.
-Main goal is to get out in transition, defense to offense, most of my players can grab a rebound and go, and Walton was a spectacular outlet passer (similar to Love today). Transition shots are the best shots in the NBA and we should be able to generate plenty (Curry/Oladipo have led the league in steals, Moncrief is a monster defensively, Draymond has finished 2nd in steals, and West/Hondo were racking them up before they were tracked).
Key Defensive Points:
-Wade/Malone are the key guys to gear up on and I think we have a pair of great matchups in West/Green in the starting lineup. Moncrief/Oladipo will hound Wade when in off the bench. When the bigs go to the bench Thurmond will take Malone(probably the best man defender for a big ever), while Odom will land on Parish.
-I don't see a coherent plan to his offense, Malone is THE PnR big and he doesn't have strong PnR guards. Shooting in the starting lineup is nearly non-existent.
-Let Walton sag off Mutombo/Parish and really clog the lane for drivers/cutters.
-Sag off his perimeter non-shooters, further clogging driving lanes, but really hunt the passing lanes to generate turnovers.
Overall:
I think his offense is too lacking in shooting and we can funnel them to spots on the floor and control/push the pace. Between easy transition looks and hunting for switches I think our offense runs smoothly through the series, with some huge explosions that Curry is known for. 4-2 for Team Eminence.
And thanks for putting this all together @Grayson's Hands!
