Raptors announcers said he probably tried to avoid worst Clippers offensive showing this season - it was 72 before that game. I guess he accomplished his mission lol.
 
So did he get the clear path penalty? He was definitely ahead of the defense when he got fouled.

I just checked it on LP just to see this. Yes it was a clear path, they bring the ball inbound with 2.8 sec. remaining and then Jamal Crawford chucked a three ball. LOL

It's kind of like the Jazz-Clippers preseason game when the guy on the Clippers kept slapping at the ball when the Jazz were running the clock out. OK, there's technically nothing wrong with that, but it's something you'd expect out of a rookie, not a vet like Butler.
