Another slaying of police officers (in Baton Rouge)

I always knew Warrick Dunn's mom was a cop and shot and killed while he was in high school, but I never knew it was in Baton Rouge 'til today. He had some interesting thoughts on the matter. Love that guy. From everything I know (as much as I could about some star ex-athlete), he is a great, great man.

This is one of the main problems we have right now. We have police shooting innocent people. We have people shooting innocent cops. Then we have people trying to politicise the issue, like you, instead of trying to solve the problem and fix it. You want to bring political parties into the equation or talk about liberals as the problem. The problem is bad people doing bad things. This includes liberals, conservatives, cops as well as the people shooting cops. There are plenty of great cops (most of them). There are some bad ones as well. Let's fix the racism and let's fix the system for training and hiring police who have so much power. Let's hold police to a higher standard than people who have less power. Yes, let's praise the good cops we have and ask them to stand up for what's right even to other cops. Stop trying to blame the "other side." Good people in America are trying to make world a better place on both sides of the issues. Take the time to see issues from both sides and the world will be a better place. Stop letting politicians talk you into blaming the other party for problems because they are out to advance their party and their careers. We have problems, don't blame people who are trying to fix it even if it's different from the way you think it should be fixed. It's easier to see differences but it's much more productive to find similarities.

No one thinks all cops are bad and if they do it's in very poor uneducated misguided communities that need help to escape a very vicious cycle working against them. But it's ignorant to think all cops are good people and are always going to make the right decision under pressure. Let's figure out how to weed out the bad ones early and help good ones make better choices under pressure. I enjoy volunteering at the police station for lots of different trainings they go through. Most the cops are awesome to work with. I don't think liberals or conservatives or any other silly generic label that fits no one want police shot or police shooting people that are not endangering others lives.

It's sad we have a tragedy and people have to make some political statement about it. Too many people are dying for no good reason and people wanna talk conservatives and liberals.

The 2nd amendment is so we can protect ourselves from the government/others. Not so anybody can senselessly attack people they don't like. If you want to pretend like most Americans, or even most conservatives think what Thriller is supposing here, go ahead, but you're a moron. This isn't a gun issue. It isn't about how easy/difficult it is to buy guns. How easy/difficult it is to steal guns. This is about people killing other people. Doesn't matter if they're liberals, conservatives, black, white, or Asian. They're people. People we should care about, that we should love, every single on of em. It's a heart issue. An issue of hateful rhetoric on both sides. And y'all wanna make it about the 2nd amendment? You're ********. Inconsiderate, ignorant, ********.

Oh bull crap. There has not been a single instance of police killing unprovoked. What there has been is cop haters an knee jerk reactions to every single black execution. Those people all acted criminally. Every single one.

You people puff out your chests an act like cops sign up for the force to become legalized murderers. Bull crap. You think people want to murder someone? Go talk to a shrink. Both about murder an about your own mental stability.

Meanwhile we hear nothing of white executions by cops. This is purely political an the liberals are doing nothing but giving Donald Trump more ammo.

Do you know how far the France murderer drove over people? Take away guns you get trucks, bombs, poisonings. Much more affective methods but less glorified in minds of the crazies.

What if instead of this behavior these ppl were capable of collecting evidence against a (group of) specific officer(s).
If they published incriminating material paired with assassination, showcasing how boundaries were overstepped, reckless behavior employed and the whole thing swept under the rug with help of a judge and/or sloppy internal investigations.
How different would the discussion be in such a case if the deceased officer(s) would be publicly discussed for abuse of power in the wake of death?
You could have a more complex situation where the accused party could be right and wrong at the same time in the public eye.

They can not cause it does not exist. They could prove stereotyping potentially. I believe that. They can not prove Police kill blacks unjustly cause it has not happened in any of these national tragedies.

Look at this one. The cop is pleading with the guy to stop going for his gun. How do you think that cop felt having to pull the trigger? Nobody asks that question. I bet he was an still is devastated. Nobody wants to take a life. I feel for this poor man I cannot imagine what he is going through mentally. Probably awake at night with tremors, crying watching the liberal news drag his name through the dirt, seeing innocent officers murdered cause he justifiably executed a criminal gun toter for grabbing for it...

I pray for this man an his family.

In a society with a rule of law the discussion might be different in the respect of said officer being a scumbag. But I'd still be against it as it was a murder. The shooter is not a judge, they are a murderer and should be treated as such.

I don't know how they do it, but the men and women in my law enforcement dept are just going about their jobs like they don't have big targets on their backs. I'm nervous every time they walk out the door, but they are solid as rocks. Makes me proud.
