What's new

It's not surprising in a franchise record losing season, but I'm just not invested in most of our players on this team. As in, if we moved most of them I wouldn't have any emotional reaction. I had more attachment to Eric Paschall than I do to most of our roster.

I think there is an argument for Tre Johnson as the third best prospect in the draft, but the Jazz absolutely cannot draft someone that can't defend. In fact, for most of our rotation to work we probably need to draft not only adequate defenders, but difference making defenders. Unfortunately there aren't many of them in this draft class.

Juzang -44 in the box. We took care of tank business tonight. I guess a positive is we had three guys with double figure rebounds.

Keyonte seems like the kind of player who would thrive in these low talent games, but it's just the opposite. He really needs to play with other good players to be good.
I can see tonight why Svi has stuck around the league. He's solid at what he does well and appears to be a good soldier. I can see a coach and GM wanting to keep him over a more talented but mercurial player.

If you aren't invested in anyone and think the whole roster could be overhauled, why worry about needing defenders?

Lol, Good point

It's not like I'm not invested in anyone though, just not like I have been in the past. I'm also just tired of watching bad defense. I know some people disliked the Rubio/Favors Jazz team, but I loved it. I would rather watch a bad offensive team than a bad defensive team. (Obviously I would prefer we were good at both).

Flagg would improve the defense. Edgecombe has the athleticism, Bailey the potential, and Harper the basketball IQ to help on defense. I want one of those for sure in this draft (of course, Cooper my overwhelming first choice).

Flagg and then draft Beringer or Fleming with the Wolves pick so we have some defensive length off the bench along with Hendricks coming back.

I do not understand Svi. Unless, the Jazz have just given him the green light (which I highly doubt), he is a black hole and lacks total self awareness. His BBall IQ is so low. It looks like his goal in life is to score 1 on 5.
