A tearful farewell.

Most of you have my contact info and stay in touch!

But I have been waiting for this moment, Wilt Chamberlain style.

I am done, this is not a joke, I won't change my mind... blah, blah, blah.

My heart hurts, but see ya guys!
 
Say what?

Well, my typical farewell to my Navy friends was "Have a nice life." No sarcasm or anything, but I realized the chances of seeing and interacting with them again was pretty ****ing slim. And I meant it sincerely.

So, PKM, have a nice life. Not like you don't already, but I wish you fair winds and following seas.
 
I want to think this is not real, but have no reason to doubt.

May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind ever be at your back, May you find old friends waiting to greet you, there on the outside track.
We're gathered together old times to remember, 'tis but for ourselves we would grieve,
So we'll sing you a chorus and bid you farewell - fair winds and a following sea.



We'll sing of 'The Leaf' and 'The Parting Glass', we'll raise up our voices in song,
No sadness today for the one who has passed, celebrate with a voice glad and strong.
A catch in the throat, a tear in the eye, but no funeral dirge will this be,
We'll roar 'Auld Lang Syne' as a victory song - fair winds and a following sea.



And those of us left here will miss a true friend, who shared with us good times and bad,
Raising a glass to your memory we'll say: “We've known you – why should be we sad?”
We honour a life that was lived to the full, we honour a spirit, now free.

Kentucky should have lost today. If that Horford kid would have gone up strong instead of pump faking things would have ended differently. Twice he was wide open on the same play.The first time I was like nice play. The second time I thought this coach Cal guy isn't very good is he. Dude just landed a dream job and now he rides the coattails of of those that came before him. Sooner or later top recruits are going to realize that all UK does is hurt their value.
 
There is a saying in hereabouts.

God makes his beloved man lose his donkey first and then find it back.

I don't know if there is a connection.
