So they're calling Ty as the early goat. Interesting. I'm equally sure Jalen's comments about Utah's nightlife will bump this thread eventually to 10 pages +. But what I thought was interesting amongst all the forced laughter and weird patter was that Jalen actually thinks they'll be better than advertised and Simmons, in spite of his constant dogging, thinks they'll be in a ton of games only to lose at the end.
All of this means nothing, obviously, but I think the Jazz are going to be one of those teams that wins games they shouldn't but then lose even more that they should probably win. So, where's my big golden hat?

This is ridiculous...
Although they have nothing to do with our teams core, Jefferson and Biedrins jokes were flying around.
Simmons and Rose know nothing about Jazz Nation. They think we would ignore Jazz which isn't a possibility.
Alec Burks is called Alex Burks by Jalen
Also Enes is called "Kahntner" (like Christian Laettner) for 2-3 times.
According to them our starting 5:
PG-Burke
SG-Hayward
SF-Marvin
PF-Favors
C- "Kahntner"

I don't have a problem with that. Even Kanter himself doesn't pronounce his surname right. He seems as if he's forgotten Turkish. LOL
His surname is pronounced as British English "can't" not the American English "can't" also finishes with French "é" like Can't-érre
On a side note, his surname is a unified word Blood (Kan) & Sweat (Ter)

I'm glad that everyone thinks Utah is some lame place to live without a night life and a bunch of squares running around everywhere. The last thing we need is more people here and this place turning into a zoo with thugs everywhere. I'm quite happy with our situation. I don't need to live in some ridiculously overly crowded thug town.

Seeing jokes about Jazz fans not caring this year, fans hating Corbin and shots at R Jeff and Brickins.
"Clairvoyant Bill" thinks Favors and Kanter will be good together and both average double doubles. He also calls Corbin the first coach fired this year and not the Jazz coach for the future.

If Corbin is the first coach fired this year I will be pissed.
I said over and over and over last year that they should have fired Corbin after the post-all star break collapse and put in Horny as the interm head coach. See what he can do. To lose Horny then fire Corbin after two months would show that this organization is incompetent.
Also, Kanter and Favors should have big years this year, or KOC should be gone as well. To have AK/Deron/Boozer, who were all All-Stars then add in Millsap and Al and lose all those players for nothing....yikes. This is a make or break year for KOC.

I don't think so. I think Lindsey is the man now. Certainly KOC has his hand in the mix but after all the moves done I think Lindsey has enough of a say in things to let KOC off that hook.

You act as though Horny is a superstar coach. He's as if not more unproven then Ty was. At least Ty had been an assistant coach for 7-8 years before he was hired. If we do miraculously fire Ty this year I'd like to see the jazz hire a vet more experienced coach who's been around the block, and knows how to build an offensive and defensive scheme.

Burke is Lindsey's guy. That's it. The rest of the team is on KOC:
Burks - lottery pick
Hayward - top 10 pick
Favors - top 3 pick
Kanter - Top 3 pick.
We should be competing for a top 3 spot in the West this year with those picks...we aren't. KOC isn't looking so hot right now. Especially if Burke comes in and lights it up and we don't make the playoffs.

Duh. That's why you fire Corbin after the All-Star break and allow Horny to interm. If he sucks, then he stays on as a bench coach. If he is awesome, the we didn't lose him to be "loyal" to a crappy coach.
Correct they are KOC guys. But Lindsey calls the shot now. How KOC is looking is pure perception. I think he did great with Hayward, Kanter, Favors, Burks and Evans.
I'd add Gobert to being Lindseys guy in addition to Burke.
You may want KOC to be on the hotseat but he isn't, fair or not, and we know that.
