Blake Griffin is retardedly good

Probably the two best dunks of the year and they happened in one game. This kid is special.

homeboy looks like pre injury amare
i saw him at the LAC DET game he had like 6 dunks

If he's so good(I'm not arguing against his physical talents), why is his team 1-13? They have enough talent to be decent at the very least.

Because they make Golden State look like the best defensive team in the NBA.

That's exactly my point though. These guys should be able to play playground basketball and still win some games, and beyond that, they have players that can play defense. Blake should be leading the charge on that front. I actually had the thought during the pre-season that despite all the crap that the Clippers' ownership gets, they finally put together a decent roster. I guess not. Individually, I would be fine with nearly all of their players on Jazz.

But yes, regardless of team play, Blake Griffin was worth the #1 pick.

....I'm in the ducks corner here! He has a half dozen all-star contest/game dunks....but his team loses by 10 points at home to a team that will probably finish with 50 plus losses! Don't know what the problem is, but there definitely is a MAJOR problem either defensively or offensively with that team! 1-13 is just beyond turrible!

First dunk wasn't a dunk. It was being 2 foot above the rim and tossing it downward. Sick. Yes BG should be in the dunk comp! He wont need some stupid Superman stunt to win.

And to think he was a few ping-pong balls away from being drafted by OKC.

That would be scary.

You are right. Landing Griffin over Harden would have made them a much better team. Jeff Green is overrated and Griffin would be a huge upgrade over him by providing rebounding and inside scoring. Harden is basically CJ Miles, but taken with the 3rd pick in the draft...so far at least. He may get a bit better, but I see limited upside with him. The Jazz definitely lucked out that Griffin didn't land on an already talented OKC team.

Because they're the ****ing Clippers. They're a loser organization, run by a loser owner. The results shouldn't surprise anybody. When you don't give a team any incentive to win or care about winning, they're gonna lose.

It'll be interesting when Griffin is a Free Agent and can actually go to a real team. Anybody landing him in his 4th season, at what, 23, with as improved as he'll be after a few years under his belt.. damn. Better not be the ****ing Lakers, or I'm gonna be pissed.

The other day a coworker and I were discussing the possibility of Blake signing with Boston in a few years. With the Big 3 retiring (or coming close, at least in Pierce's case), Blake could step in nearly seamlessly and run with Rondo for a decade.

What Blake provides is a hyperathletic package - albeit without a clear jump shot yet. What he needs is a pass-first point guard. In many respects, I see parallels between Blake and Malone: came into the league as a well-rounded player yet clearly needed improvements in several key areas. If Blake can continually build on his skills every summer (and I'm sure he will) then he will emerge as the premier power forward for the next 10-15 years. That's where Rondo steps in. Can't shoot worth a lick (evidenced by his defenders constantly giving him yards of room) yet is happy as a pig in mud to try his darndest to rack up ~15 assists. I won't go as far as to say Rondo/Blake could be the nouveau Stockton/Malone, but if I'm Danny Ainge, I will sell the farm to test the hypothesis.
