'poo' is kinda cute. It's kinda like what a child would call excrement OR it can also be used as a verb, i.e., a child might say "I need to go poo" (kinda like when they say "I need to go pee pee").


'f e c e s' on the other hand is just too vivid. When somebody says it, it immediately brings to mind the image of the actual piece of excrement being excreted from the bowels.


In summary, 'poo' is what you say when you want to be polite or to be cute or trying to avoid saying **** or f e c e s. IMO I'm happy with how the two words are treated differently on this board.
