@ESPNSteinLine: Just added to ESPN's latest Dwight story: Sources say Warriors and Jazz have opened talks on trade that would send Andrew Bogut to Jazz"

"@ESPNSteinLine: Jazz have expressed strongest interest to date in Bogut, sources say. No surprise after Al Jefferson's departure and Bogut's college ties"

If we're trading with the Warriors I'd prefer getting assets for bad contracts. Bogut is not a guy we're going to get value with from GS IMO.

I much prefer absorbing Biedrins and Jefferson for Barnes.

Thank god! I was getting so sick of the other 4 threads on this.

Looked and didn't see an actual thread on this topic. Merge the many threads you were forced to read through. I hope you make it through this tough time in your life.

This.

Biedrins and Jefferson are walking after this year anyways and Barnes is scary good.

Although he's not the player he used to be and he's incredibly injury prone (would not surprise me to see him miss the entire season with a gimpy back or other mysterious injury), but if Bogut is healthy, he's still a good player. A perfect third big, although if healthy, Ty will start him. In order to take that contract, we need much more. At least 1-2 picks and or a pick and another player. Give me Klay Thompson to add some outside shooting to our team (unlikely to happen) or Barnes as a complement, even though he's a good solid role player at best, not a potential all star that others seem to think he is.

A big "no" if no picks or young players are involved. I'd rather get Biedrins and Richard Jefferson because you'd probably get more assets. So, basically what mhindy said.

Bogut can start, Kanter isn't ready anyway. I think Kanter's attitude is more akin to a sixth man than a starting leader anyway. Maybe as he matures he can become more of a leader and can start. The real question is whether or not we re-sign Bogut for less after next season.

(Mods, a lot of whining going on, maybe we merge some threads?)

funny thing about that article is there aren't any sources at all, it might have actually been written by Hack for all we know.

He is our best scorer. Will be our Go to Guy. He is more than ready.

My opinion i guess. Kanter just seems like he's still a big kid, which doesn't scream 'leader'. One nice thing about getting Bogut is that with his injury problem, he will likely only get 25 min per game which will still give Kanter plenty of time on the floor.

realize that Bogut has started his entire career, i doubt he comes off the bench here.
