I am not sure why the Lakers didn't do a sign-and-trade with the Bulls for Gasol and Boozer. Gasol would have been able to get a bigger deal. Lakers would have gotten Boozer on a rental who would be able to mentor Randle and maybe get back to his All Star ways (at least to some degree). A Laker line-up with Boozer, Lin, and Kobe might be enough to get to a 7th or 8th seed, whereas the Lakers are lotto bound again without him. Lakers would have possibly also been able to get a couple picks out of the Bulls and they could have used more of those.

Rumor is that Charlotte might make a bid for Boozer. It would be interesting to see Boozer and Jefferson play together. A frontcourt of Boozer, Jefferson, and Marvin would be a super Junior Jazz team!!!

That would actually make sense given the existing front court of Varejao and Thompson. Boozer would be a needed upgrade offensively. Plus Cavs fans would flip. Two guys who spurned and burned them return and reunite.
