Yeah that trade did not make sense to me. It seems Lakers got desperate. They should have waited until the trade deadline. Unless they have a bigger deal about to happen that needed this to go through first for some odd reason. But dumping Moz only helps them out when FA begins and really it only helps next off season when Lopez clears your books. I guess they could have done worse.

I would almost have been tempted for Jazz to jump in on that but it is bad timing for us.

They sold low on Russell, which would be fine if it impacted them immediately, but for cap space next year? Not only that, but who knows if they can even use that cap space. No guarantees on anybody, and certainly not LeBron.

Anyway, a lot of things would have to go their way for this to end up being a great trade. Could easily end up being a really bad trade.
