Anyone following this fight on Saturday? I think GGG would normally be considered a pretty clear favorite, though he hasn't been fighting as well as of late.
I've been wondering if anybody would start a thread for this. I'm hyped. If GGG's jab is on fire, then I think he wins by KO or unanimous decision. If Canelo is slipping it and landing his counters, then Canelo wins by decision.

A few years ago, GGG was at the top of his game and punching with a lot of power. Fighters were scared of getting TKO'd by Glovkin's body shots. I haven't seen him in a while though. I wonder if he's still at the same level he was. I'm also surprised this Canelo/GGG fight didn't happen sooner.
Hasn't been fighting well lately?
The last 6 fighters GGG fought had a combined record of 168-5. He beat the living snot out of all of them except Jacobs - who is in the prime of his career and actually fought GGG in a non-title bout being he didn't show up for the fight day weigh in so he could pack on pounds. People estimate Jacobs fought GGG at a cruiserweight
No boxing expert or anything, but I thought GGG won that pretty clearly.
I'm watching an internet stream now. The fight does look closer than I thought it would be. Canelo is moving and countering as well as he could be expected to. He even has some offense when he gets off the ropes and into the center of the ring, but GGG appears to land more punches. As I watch the end of the fight, I think it's a push for even one judge to call a draw, let alone the judge that gave Canelo 9 or 10 rounds.
That said, GGG wasn't hitting with the same power I thought he had a few years ago. GGG used to just blast through whatever defense his opponents put up. I think GGG could have worked the body more to open up his jabs. I don't think Canelo could have fought much better, but I think GGG could have been more diverse in his attacks.
