Carmelo to NJ . . . contingent on an extension

Lol, we all know we'd love to see Melo in a Jazz Jersey.

I wouldn't.

I for one find him one of the least entertaining stars out there. He basically has two moves, get the ball around the elbow and try to run over everyone en route to the basket. The other is a jumpshot from the elbow.

Then, he's a complete soap opera crybaby. We already have one of those, Deron, and he already annoys me the way he constantly is talking to the refs and acting like he's being shafted.

Finally, yes, he won the NCAA championship in college. But how does that translate into the NBA? He still hasn't been able to elevate the play of his teammates. If anything, he's been quite the opposite, a cancer. Rarely does he play defense, never does he lead, and without the ball he's useless.

He's basically a talked up version of Antone Walker or Glenn Big Dog Robinson. Guys that shoot a lot, can score, but do little else. I'd by far rather have Shane Battier, Gerald Wallace, or Caron Butler.

Dallas is interested. I wonder if the Jazz could get in on this as I don't see Dallas having enough to offer Denver. Maybe we could get Caron Butler and a solid backup in PG in Jose Barea. We have to give something to Denver that they value. I doubt we have any pieces to part with that a rebuilding team would want. Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson are the only candidates even close for Denver. Dallas would throw in the rest.

D-Will, Barea, Watson
Butler, CJ, Bell
AK, Butler, Millsap
Millsap, Memo, AK
Memo, Elson, Fes

I like Butler at the 2. He provides extra height on defense as well. Everyone knows we can use extra help on Kobe guards.

I once won a Jr. Jazz Championship in 2000. I never won a state championship in high school though. I'm beginning to think I was a cancer at a higher level. FML.
