Money new contacts perhaps a shot at getting a cabinet position eventually, or to prepare to run for governor. I think Chaffetz sees himself as the future Potus. He's got a huge ego and is aggressive. Yeah I buy it.

Just wanted to point out, he could serve his entire term as a congressman and still have 2 years to prepare for governor. Unless... he feels that staying in DC during the trump administration is going to hurt him politically...

Unless a scandal breaks out I think this is the most likely reason for him bowing out. Trumps failures are going to be used against any Republican running for reelection in 2018, and if the last few months are any indication they will be many.

Edited to add I think the Trump Russia scandal is likely to really blow up before 2018, and a weasel like Chaffetz would be wise to scurry away before he gets hit with the fallout.

I've never liked him but I could have given him credit for having some integrity had he gone after Trump with even half the enthusiasm he went after Obama with.

Did you see the embarrassment that is "I'll just use this graph from a well known anti-abortion agency and claim it as my own?"

He literally took a very skewed graph, from an organization known to be hostile towards planned parenthood, and then claimed it as his own work.

Clearly embarrassed when called out, immediately, on the subject, all he could say is 'we'll get to the bottom of this', and then shut his mouth.

Search "chaffetz gets owned" on youtube, and you'll find a ton of **** like this. Integrity, even in the political spectrum, is not something I'd credit him for.

But Obama isn't coming back, politically. The owned media has lost credibility with the American people.... well, the sensible people worldwide....

After 100 days running, plus the whole incumbency..... not to mention the campaign.... the media has got zilch. nada. zero. Of the people who voted for Trump, after all the neg hype made-up news, 96% STILL would vote for Trump. With 95% to 99% negative slanted news, the same people who didn't believe the media at election time still don't believe the media....

probably the only people who would vote against Trump now are paid for their votes by Soros, or Jazzfanz mods who work for nothing.
