Can't remember if I posted this or not, or if anyone else did, but if anyone is interested in some casual chess games I am playing Chess with Friends. It has a pretty decent interface, there is no hard time limit (it takes days for someone to forfeit a game), and there are adds between each move, but I play it casually just to try out new openings or traps or just goof around. If anyone is interested my handle is, of course, LogGrad98.
 
So my wife makes a strong case about how I "waste time" on JazzFanz, not giving any credence to the value of the self-immolation or flagellations inherent in pretending to be a conservative in a shark tank "community" of liberal piranhas hell-bent on purifying the world of idiots other than themselves, or at least who don't promptly submit to the higher reason possessed by the elites of this world, which justly confers the right on themselves to displace "government by the people" with a "new" form of government as old as the hills.... government by the sociopaths.

well, I lost Chess matches with everyone, making my self-abnegation fairly complete, and I've been reasoning back at my wife, one of the most futile of pursuits, that "Words With Friends" is a waste of time, too.

But still, I'm thinking, a little more humility might do me some good.....

Tell your wife that you have an addiction and that addicts always eventually self treat one addiction with a new one. It's either JFC or heroine, her choice. She'll back off(or intensify her criticism).

If that doesn't work ask for a divorce, she'll back off (or file for divorce).

*My advice is crap. If you take my advice you accept full responsibility for the damage that it will almost certainly cause to your well being. This small print shall forever endeminify me against any stupid assholes that should ever be stupid enough to act on my counsel. Also, **** you. **** you should always included in small print because that is why small print was created. It was created so that people could say **** you while they were smiling.

From all the stories I've read from babe about his wife, it seems like his wife wears the pants in that relationship and I have a feeling she backs off of nobody.

Babe's wife is a delightful woman and a great conversationalist. His kids are cute and precocious and smart. We all had a really nice chat one afternoon. Great time.

Yes. It was in Reno, just before we drove down the 395 to Bishop in a snowstorm. Had to be two years ago.

My wife does wear pants, quite nicely imo, OL. She also has manners, perception, decency, and is a good mom who tells me it's the mom's place to discipline girls, the dad's place to love them unconditionally.

I learned about women and being a husband from the closest thing to a father I've had, besides my real dad who was a dolt like me.

I was told that the husband's role is to figure out what his wife wants before she has to say anything, and pretend it's your own idea.

I was told that no man ever wins and argument with his wife. And if he does, he loses the wife.

A lot of women falsely believe they are virtuous in enduring doltish, stupid husbands and blaming their complicity in all the bad decisions on the faith in God. God have mercy on their souls for believing the devil's lies. Anyone who submits to evil, or anything that's wrong, even stupidity, without making a valiant effort to stand up for the better things, is hardly "faithful" to God.

The same man, after being the President of the LDS Sunday Schools program, declared that his religion is whatever is true, whether he knows it or not. And prayed for better understanding to come.

OL, it takes a real man to learn good things from someone who knows better things than he does. Being a good listener is the first step towards be a real leader, a good husband, or a good father. Not that you don't do some thinking on your own, but because you need to have all that information to make better decisions.
 
Sorry LogGrad, I had to delete the chess app. Every time I won a match against you the Jazz lost. Can't be a coincidence.
 
Lol. You just needed to throw a few games. Heh.
