Chris Paul: Utah Jazz Fans Are 'Complete Homers'

He seemed to be trying to say the fans really love the team. Homer usually connotes a mindless fan, though, so I think he's using the word wrong for what he was trying to say. But could he really not know the proper way to use "homer"?

He is just an idiot, that's all. Any LA fan in Utah obviously would wear a Lakers jersey, not a Clippers jersey, haha. That's why he sees no Clippers jerseys in Utah. And yes, of course he was taking a jab at Utah fans, he knows what the word homer means.

It was an awkward comment... If anything a slight shot at Clippers fans.

We are homers... all of us... we root for the home team. Maybe Clips fans are more into the social atmosphere than fandom. It was just kind of weird... think he was looking for a different word and homers came out.

A segment of Jazz fans are just testy. Some are upset over losing Gobert, some excited to be back in the playoffs after that awful rebuild, some are still bitter that Milsap walked away for nothing and others are mad that Dees Family restaurant closed.

He could of said Jazz fans are all brilliant basketball scholars with a die-hard love for their team and some people would've been offended.

Seriously. Some of you fans need to work on your self esteem.

TBH I wonder if the Clips FO will try and duplicate how insane the Jazz arena was. I hope they try and that it is a massive flop. I'd love to see them hand out free shirts, no one wears them, they lose and have the crowd hurl them all onto the court.
