Our defense is horrible. We still allowed 119 even with Gobert playing over 30 minutes.

BUT

We are still a young team and look at how much everyone has improved on offense this year.
Kanter, Favors, Hayward, Gobert etc. They all look better. Burke is horrible but I don't blame Snyder.
Burks is struggling with his shot but hopefully that improves. His overall game looks better though.
We are scoring much better this year and at a higher rate.
I don't think we are giving enough credit to Snyder for the offensive improvement with some of the players. The offense is much better.

Our defense is still very bad and needs to be improved.
I just think we need to realize we are improving in some areas. Its better then last year.
Give them more time. I wouldn't be surprised to see our defense improve the 2nd half of the year.

^defense starts at the PG position. Guarantee that our defense would be much improved if Trey was faster/longer/smarter/cared more about it.

Our defense won't get where it needs to be until we replace Burke with a pit bull and add another defensive specialist on the perimeter.

It's not just Burke. Burks has been a problem, and he needs a specialist pushing him for minutes.

The tough thing is that both of these players need to be able to shoot...... not easy to find. I'm losing patience re:defense.

The Jazz are developing their young talent, just like they said they would and everyone wanted them to. The problem is that we don't have an MVP-candidate talent on the team, which virtually all championship teams have. So I think we're trying to hit the draft one or two more times.

Yes, some of our players aren't turning out as well as we thought.

I'd say our defense gets killed by both Burke and Burks. They both are horrible defenders.

Yeah, it's super frustrating how badly they get beat and forget their defensive fundamentals. It's particularly frustrating with Burks because he has the length and athletic ability to be an above average defender.

Contrast it to Hayward, who is by no means a great defender, but plays physical and smart and is an above average defender.

Jazz having a game-plan = HUGE improvement
besides, they kept close to their opponents in those L's so they are competing better, despite the arguable fact that Jazz are not better this year roster-wise.
Are they?
