Lol, Corbin's agent out there doing some PR work. I'm not sure whether any media report in particular prompted these tweets, but here is what he said on twitter today: (If already posted elsewhere then I apologize - please lock thread and delete)
Very difficult in NBA to be competitive, while REBUILDING,kudos to Jazz. And media out there who think Corbin is in any trouble have NO clue

Someone's @ahouston32 response to the Agent Kauffman:
@KauffmanSports Corbin's not in trouble, but he should be. Took him two years to figure out how to make the lineup work and motivate vets.

Kauffman's response:
@ahouston32 How many teams in Eastern Conference are better than Jazz. Also with new cap rules roster composition very complex, Impt here

Jody Gennesy (desnews) had this to say today:

It's not news that the Jazz won't fire Tyrone Corbin this offseason. Utah's front office doesn't make decisions based on hashtag campaigns.

The point being, Corbin had significant hurdles to get his team over, including injuries to Mo and others. Jazz management knows that

Plus, Jazz spent $3.5M of their rainy day fund on a guy vacationing in Miami. You think this franchise can afford to eat Corbin's salary?

Especially when Jazz brass has expressed confidence in Corbin time and time again? They LOVED the way he handled the post-Sloan era. /endtweets

Time to stop the complaining, and start cheering. Keep the Jazz in Utah.

Seriously, who is supposed to defend Corbin if he is getting hacked by media and Jazz fans.
Ask yourself why he needs defending in the first place. If he was doing a good job, he wouldn't need defending, would he?

I have little doubt this is the case. While I generally think the FO does a good job, they are way to loyal to their coaches.
.
He should be fired. He should not be safe. He should be feeling the heat. None of those things happen with this frachise.
.
Greg is not Larry, he does not care about the product on the court. He is friendly with Corbin as therefore Corbin is probably safe as long as he wants to be. Greg only cares about the fans as long as they are paying for gear and games. This last paragraph is my belief.
.
This is not the franchise I grew up watching. It's getting more and more difficult to care about them. I might just start watching the Thunder instead. At least they play a fun brand of basketball to watch.

The direction of this team is so frustrating. At this point, I think the FO has been complicit in the young players not getting much playing time. I am sure if they had a problem with what was happening with playing time, they would have told Corbin to play them more. It makes me feel like the FO/Ownership does not care about winning a championship in the future, and are fine with just being the 8th seed every season. The sad thing is I think most Jazz fans see this, but the organization is either blind to the fans realizing it, or are ignoring it.

I heard KOC on the radio about 2 weeks ago. They asked him specifically about Tyrone and his answer was pretty lukewarm, along the lines of he works hard and is a great guy. There was no emphatic support nor statements of his job being safe etc. I got the feeling that they may not be thinking so highly of him at this point.

I don't think there's any evidence that Greg Miller doesn't care about the product on the court. Stating that as a fact is incorrect imo.

Amateur hour. PR in sports is the one of the simpler things I can think of: WIN.

I'm usually considered a pessimist (I consider myself a realist that tries to keep my expectations low to minimize disappointment in my life), and even I didn't think the Jazz would be as lackluster as they've been this year.

Anyway, that's a tangent. The bottom line is this is kind of embarrassing and sad.

I do not think Corbin is in trouble but he should be. Why you ask? Well stop looking at the record and look at his per game performance. He has shown repeatedly that he does not reward fantastic performances with increased roles. For examples see Kanter while Big Al and Sap where injured. Also for his inability to find the right man for the specific job. Such as placing Foye on Kobe instead or Hayward, Carroll or even Marvin. Not using, except recently, Favors in late game scenarios when you need D. That leads to the next one. Corbin does learn but at an extremely slow rate. That means he will continue to have trouble making in game adjustments from game to game.

In short I truly believe that Corbin has this roster under performing. This is a profession. Not a hobby. Under performing is not acceptable.

Reportedly he has said as much himself. But 36-30 and 42-38 isn't enough for some people. So I don't see a problem with people who know him defending him in the same imaginary world called the Twitterverse that he gets the most criticism.

I do agree with PKM, sort of, had the Jazz PR department including Greg, KOC and Randy done a better job of communicating expectations at the time they traded Deron, and the challenges they faced when Ty replaced Jerry maybe everyone would think that the Jazz ought to be competing for a championship this year.

They are not legit contenders but they are better than fighting for the 8th seed.
