Haven’t seen this mentioned. Not sure all the possibilities but it’d be taking on a huge salary commitment. Like a Simmons. What could we land for the expiring Westbrook deal?
no we could do Lowry and Robinson... it always comes back to ****ing Robinson... I'm sorry.Simmons is the only deal that would remotely be a possibility.
I would not take Simmons unless the draft comp was phenomenal. I would consider it for other deals... price has to be right.Haven’t seen this mentioned. Not sure all the possibilities but it’d be taking on a huge salary commitment. Like a Simmons. What could we land for the expiring Westbrook deal?
You make some wild assumptions... there are lots of FA and lots of other ways to use cap space.Unless we're trying to make a run at Trent Jr or Van Vleet, our cap space is mostly going to be useless or only useful in taking bad salary anyways.
I've already explained this... Monty talks to Mike... Mike talks to me... and I talk to Monty.... and this is one of our burner accounts... it is triple sourced. He just posted this. Is his source my thread?

There are many guys we could sign or work sign and trades for with our space. It doesn't have to be limited to two guys or just taking salary dumps.I suppose you could make a trade into cap space. I'm not going to pretend that there's a bunch of FA we can/will get. I've looked at the list, those two are the most attractive and reasonable gettable targets. If it takes significant draft compensation to use up our space next year I think it is a mistake. I do not high high hopes for the cap space so getting reasonable compensation now would be good business IMO.
