I need your help. There was song from when I was a kid in the 90's, sung by a male, popular enough to be on those radio countdowns at least, that talked about chasing his wife around the house(and I think the overall theme was about chasing her or women in general) or something. I need it. I know that's not a lot to go on....certainly not enough for Google to be of any help.....but ring any bells? Hantlers?

It is often said that country music is an oxymoron. What then is it called when you add "expert" onto this saying?

Your best luck might be too google country billboard and year, and start narrowing down your listening list. I've done that several times in the past myself, but I also occupy a government computer and have ample time to fill on occasion.

I'm definitely a top 3 country guy on the board and I haven't the slightest clue.

Btw, a great song is "Boys 'round here."

Check it out.

Country music isn't bad. The radio-friendly crap that passes for country music is.

Hell yeah. I definitely got saddled with the best genre/sub-genre of the bunch.

Yeah, I started doing something similar with a wikipedia page that has some top songs listed a few days ago, but nothing hits the mark yet. Plus, I'm definitely not a fan of country general so it's kind of painful. I'll do a little of that each day until I find it though unless somebody knows what the hell I'm talking about. I want to learn to play it, it was a good song.

It seems like it has to be out of the Garth Books/George Straight/Alan Jackson grouping but they've got a ton of songs. I don't know. It's probably some no name guy.

Dwight Yoakam "She wore a red dress"?

Listening to all these songs though, I'm thinking Alan Jackson is the king of country music is my book. He has some catchy stuff.

Blake Shelton has written some great stuff.

I'm more of a Hank Jr kinda guy.. but I can only listen to it so much before I want to get drunk and fight somebody.

I think it might be this:

That's from the late 80's, but it would've been on the radio still when I was a little older probably, would explain why my searching through the 90's charts yielded little fruit and it fits what I'm describing. It's been so long that I can say for sure or not though. It's a good song though if it's not.

I was always fond of "Don't Take The Girl" and "I can Love You Like That" (not garth brooks songs)
