Has anyone here gotten their vaccine yet?

I was privileged enough to get the opportunity to get it because I work in healthcare. The first shot I had zero side effects besides a sore arm where they gave me the shot for 48 hours.

I just got the second shot yesterday morning and before I went to bed I had chills. I woke up with a 101.5 degree fever and felt a lot of pressure in my head. In and out of sleep every 15 mins. Couldn’t go to sleep for like an hour and a half at 3 AM.

They advise you to only take Tylenol and it has helped but doesn’t seem to last long. The second shot also has made me extremely tired.

It affects everyone differently but I’m going to be glad when these symptoms wear off and I’ll be vaccinated.

I haven't yet. I think my first chance might be through the VA, but I'm not eligible yet.

I have a few family members who have got their first shots but not their second one.
Hopefully the effects aren't even worse for older people.

I've had both of mine. Other than a sore arm for a couple of days and some fatigue the next day, I was fine on both shots. But many people I work with were sick on the second shot. They even recommended taking the next day off.

I've read that it seems to be worse for younger people. In my experience, the people my age (60) and older seem to be doing better than the younger ones in their 30s/40s.

I get my second vaccination Saturday, 2/27. I already put in to take the following Monday off.

My wife gets her second vaccination this Saturday - she's testing it out for me, lol.

Wife had her two shots, first went fine, second was tougher as she also had the chills and flu-like experience.

I'll be getting one regardless when I'm eligible to do my part to end this ****.

I was told we would be in the 2nd wave, or whatever, being in distribution and viewed as critical to the economy, but right now I can't even get an appointment. I hope they figure out how to move this along faster.

I also work in healthcare (fairly tangentially, but my paycheck comes from the hospital corporation, sooooo...) and got my shots. First one, no side effects besides the sore arm (which is more a function of just getting a needle poked into your muscle than anything else) and maybe a little tiredness the next day. Second one, sore arm, and the evening after (so, about 30 hours later) I started feeling a little crappy. Dizzy and weak, really. Went to bed, felt fine in the morning.

I'm really hoping I can get my father in soon for his. He's 85, so he's eligible. I haven't seen him in just under a year - he went with us to Seattle to pick up my son's body around 3/8.

I heard the Johnson and Johnson one is only a single shot. Has that been distributed to anyone yet?

That last sentence, ****. I have no words.

My mother had the first shot and has had occasional ocular migraine headaches and chest pains.

I'm not planning to get the vaccine.

Deepest condolences, gandalfe.

I had my first almost two weeks ago now. Appointment for the second on Tuesday.
