Dat rotation do

Just for fun I will assume the Jazz get will get Ryan Anderson. The best part about Exum is he can start with Trey and the Burks can come in for one of them.

Trey Burke/Diante Garrett
Dante Exum/Alec Burks
Gordon Hayward/Rodney Hood
Ryan Anderson/Enes Kanter
Derrick Favors/Rudy Gobert

That bench team will be awesome to watch play together:

Dante Exum
Alec Burks
Rodney Hood
Enes Kanter
Rudy Gobert

Can't wait for the season to start!!!

Why do you, and so many others assume we are keeping Garrett? He was atrocious.

Neto is in town, and Jazz say he'll be in summer league as well. I think getting Exum increases the likelihood that Neto comes over. Since Exum is a big PG, we can now realistically bring on another small PG.

Really worried that the reports of bringing back John Lucas are true, though. That would suck.

I hadn't given Ryan Anderson much thought, but he fits in extremely well with how Snyder is rumored to want to play. He would complement both Favors and Gobert extremely well.

Hopefully there's some merit behind rumors that he may be available.

Really looking forward to seeing who starts between Burke, Exum, and Burks at the 1/2 spots.

Garrett wasn't that bad, he shot really well from 3 and has good defensive size. I like him as a 3rd string pg though.

I just threw in Garrett, don't really care who's our backup.

He was bad. Just like Trey, he couldn't get to the rack, or draw fouls. Can't have that from your pg in the NBA. He shot 38% on 2 pters. That is bad.

Also, having size, and being able to play defense are two very different things. Garrett was a horrible defender. Furthermore, he only had a 17.6 AST%, but coupled that with a 21.7 TOV%. Those are horrible numbers together.

Trey sucked, and Lucas was an abortion, so Garrett fit in the middle of them, and magically Jazz fans thought he was and is a good 3rd string PG.

Do you really like Garrett more than Neto?

What's the Ryan Anderson thing about?

I dont know all reports seem to be saying they do not want to trade him.

Plus if they do trade him they can get something good for him. Almost every team, especially playoff teams would want an excellent three point shooting PF. Not sure what we traded for him in this scenario.

Oh.

Word.

I like Ryan Anderson, but would prefer not to pick up anyone that starts over our youngs. Starting and playing with other starters is the next step in Kanter's development, and it's a contract year. We need to figure out who he is, and not prematurely define it. Tick-tock. One more season. Really isn't enough time to determine worth, but it's all we have; so no more interruptions, please.

Garrett is fine as a 3rd string pg. He was the backup last season. 3rd stringers hardly see the floor. Drafting Exum certainly helps push Garrett back towards where he belongs.

Lucas is gonna hopefully stay on the team and mentor some of these pups. He won't play, but he's a good guy to have around.

Woj reported today that Anderson is on the block.

He gives us scoring, shooting and spreads the floor.

Neto>Garrett.

I know the Lucas theory, but I don't have to like it.

Why don't you care who plays at one of the key positions? That seems extremely weird to me.
You think 3rd string pg is a key position?

That seems really wierd to me

Yeah, Neto might be better. If he's added to the mix they can drop Garrett.
Lindsey touched on "staggering" contracts in one interview with respect to Burke/Neto. I'd put money on them stashing Neto for one more year and keeping JLIII as their assistant coach in charge of PG's.

I've got to guess JLIII is our 3rd and Neto takes another lap around Spain. That makes sense with Trey still being young and Exum coming in (plus with Burks occasionally bringing up the ball to get more PT). JLIII can wave a towel and be a bench guy or someone who comes in during an atrocious blowout. We've got great flexibility at the 1-5 with who we have under contract plus Hayward. I'm looking forward to some wild, run-and-gun lineups like Dante, Burks, Hood, Hayward, and Evans or Gobert.

I've been reading this thread with real interest, refreshing the page every thirty seconds or so, but I still don't know what I can expect dat rotation to do.

Please advise.
