OK, I've seen a lot of bitching, but at the end of the day, do Marvin and Mo starting in place of Harris and Howard make us a better team?

From solely a "2012-13 Utah Jazz season" perspective - yes of course they were both good trades. I'm not sure why anyone would vote "no."

We are a better team than last year, yes.

Yes, but probably not greatly.

Whether or not we go from good to great will depend on if 1,2,3, or all four of our young guys turn out to be great.

these moves are more or less just skills shuffling around moves. We will see slight improvement if they fit like we think they will. It will work a lot better if we grow from within.

Agreed to an extent. Our ability will depend on a large part due to Favors/Hayward, but I think we can challenge fore a top 6 seed.

Much better. I could easily see the Jazz improving by 10 wins from last season.

Do you mean 10 wins as per an 82-game season or a 66-game season? The Jazz finished last season @ 36-30 (66 games), which would be equal to 45 wins in an 82-game season (45-37). So, if you meant a 10-game improvement as per a 66-game season, that would mean that you project the Jazz to go 46-36, which is only one game better than they played last year. However, if you mean a 10-game improvement as per an 82-game season, you are projecting the Jazz to finish 55-27, which would be a huge improvement and a better record than any season during the Deron Williams/Carlos Boozer era.

we are actually so deep right now. We could form two teams.

We all want Al traded, but we are also one big injury away from wishing we had him back for the short term.

One good thing about last offseason is we escaped without any serious injuries in a season where there easily could have been. Can you imagine if Favor had a serious injury last year that affected the rest of his career. So having the log jam might really be the blessing in disguise from last season.
