We know Deron is tall PG we also he is is very strong. We have seen him guard Kobe and Brandon Roy very well. He also has a long wing span. We have also seen him guard players like Tony Parker and Aaron Brooks and he cannot stay in front of them. But we have also seen Deron play very well against Chris Paul who is also quick.

So what is best defensively for D-Will guarding the opposing team's PG? or SG?

Would we be a better team having Deron guard the opposing teams SG while having a spot up shooter but a good defender guarding the PG position? Still having Deron run the point on offense though?

OK. PER is a wash. Check.

Now, as for the eye ball test. Deron gets burned by quicker, smaller guards ala Ty Lawson. He does well against bigger guards.

Not a very good gauge to measure by. First the sample size at SG is negligible. Second we don't know the average PER at each position. Among its many other problems...
