Draft Burke and go for Teague?

Trey Burke, hit or miss type of guy who is guaranteed to be a solid backup point guard in the NBA. Draft the guy, then go hard for Jeff Teague. HARD. I know I'm speaking to the wrong crowd about it, but JT is our type of guy. Restricted, but thats why Utah is going to have 20 million plus dollars in the bank to spend.

Don't get your hopes up for Burke. Though Trey Burke is the Real deal and he would totally solve like all our problems at PG (Most of them atleast), Ford is saying that all the GM's and Scouts are saying he is a high lottery pick. That being said, I'm not much of a fan of Teague either.

Teague/Burke/Tinsley
Burks/
Haywerd/Marv
Favors/Evans
Kanter

That's a core, boys. Give Corbin a team full of youth, and he can't do anything but play the guys he hates to play. Or, you could just fire the guy. But that's speaking beyond the volumes that the Jazz brass aren't willing to do.

Teague > Mo and anything else that will be on the market. He distributes. He plays for a winner. He leads a winning team. And I don't have any hopes for Trey Burke being drafted in our pool, but that's why we have Marvin Williams' expiring and two lottery picks.

If Burke is gone and we pussyfoot out of trading up, draft another backup point then.

He is better than Mo, that is for sure. Looking at his numbers i guess he isn't too bad. His FG% and 3 point fg% is respectable and his assist numbers are not bad. I'd be Higher on him if his player efficiency rating was more in the 18 or 19 range. But overall, your right, he'd be a nice pickup if he wasn't too expensive.

Need I say more that we'd be making a mistake with all the cap space this offseason that we don't go for JT? He improves every year in almost every aspect, granted his field goal percentage has slid. With Favors, Kanter, Hayward and Burks to feed to he won't be as shot worthy as needed be for Atlanta. He plays with a team that doesn't have many playmakers on the flipside.

This isn't shopping at a Goodwill, you have to pay a good player good money. I wouldn't throw the whole bank to Jeff Teague, but I'd be willing to throw him a substantial amount to the point that we can atleast re-sign Enes and Gordon. You can make the James Harden rule come into effect if need be and trade out Derrick Favors and/or Alec Burks in the future, but I'd say sign Jeff Teague, and fill the rest of the roster with a couple of 1 year contracts to some roleplayers and draft picks. A 24 year old point who's assist total nearly doubled in the course of a season is something you do not pass up on!

That's what I'm hoping, he comes at the right price. But with Chris Paul, Ellis, Jennings on the market. With Dwight Howard on the market, OJ Mayo having a big contract year, there is going to be a lot of smoke in the air. Utah can grab JT for a good price I think, he seems like a pretty cool character to me.

Perhaps... you could make a case that the difference between us and Denver is PG play. You have a good point, no doubt. The way our offense works, We would be better with Teague even if that meant parting Ways with Burks.

That, a coach, depth, and well basketball atmosphere.... those small differences, i mean talent level a lil difference as well....

I'm not so sure about that man. Just look at Denver over the last 3 games without Lawson... They have looked terrible... kind of like... well... the Jazz.

I will give you the point about the a better coach, but if you compare talent levels, Their pretty equal when you remove Lawson from the picture.

Hayward = Gallo (Gallo with a slight edge).

Kanter>Koufus

Millsap >Farried

Iggy>Foye

Favors>Javale

Brewer > Burks ?

Lawson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> mo :(

Miller >>>> Watson/Tinsley

Jazz Atmosphere =Nugget Atmosphere

It's all about PG Play.

Never really thought he was anything more than average. It would take over 10 million a year to pry him away. Atlanta has a ton of cap space so front loading it won't help.

He's only 24 years old with a progressive year.

Pretty smooth game if you ask me.

who are the clips going to want in a s&t? personally I don't see them trading Bledsoe to us for anything less then Hayward or burks.

They would want Hayward. He is currently better than Burks and can play SF, their weakest position. Both Hayward and Bledsoe will end up getting comparable money at the same time. It would essentially be a straight up swap.

The business side of it is they have no need for Bledsoe, a backup pg, who is set to start making about 10 million in a year and a half. So you want to try and bully them a little, but not insult them. Hayward would win them over, and I'm pretty sure you could squeeze a 1st round pick out of them as well. Not sure if I'd do it or not.

**** that! If we have to sign and trade one of the C4 for Bledsoe, I'd rather just have Burks at PG.

10 million for Bledsoe on a second year is iffy. Whoever overpays him like that is playing Russian Roulette, Andrei Kirilenko style.
