Every GM gets criticized...

I liked Bird's comments regarding Hayward:
He was highly complementary towards KoC and Jerry Sloan; said it was a "perfect fit" for Hayward, and Hayward would get PT right away because Sloan loves players who play hard.

Yeah, Bird is getting criticized a bit for not getting Hayward, and here we are throwing a fit because we did.

Orlando...Rashard...cough...Lewis..

We beat Denver

Portland....Oden..Durant...nuff said

The rest are close to the Jazz. Jazz are still top 5 in managment.

Ok, fine.

San Antonio
Los Angeles
Portland (not sure why they fired Pritchard except that he's kinda doochy. The man can't control injuries)
Denver
OKC
Boston
Phoenix
Dallas
Houston
Milwaukee
Orlando

Did I say 25? Cause if I did I meant 11.
How can anyone say LA has a great front office? Optimal location, market, etc. Bottomless pit of money to work with. People realize the Jazz aren't on a level playing field, right?

In front office decision making? I don't know. They got Deron Williams and traded for Kyle Korver. What else has he done that is so great? Seems to me like most of the team's success is attributable to Jerry Sloan and his coaching staff, not anything that Rigballs and O'Connor have done. Plus... John Amaechi dude. c'mon. That signing alone disqualifies KOC from ever being in a top 5 discussion.

San Antonio - Tanking a season to get Tim Duncan. Made some quality picks (Parker Manu) But if they didn't get lucky/tank to get Duncan have they really done anything super special? The Jefferson trade wasn't too great. Still a quality franchise and deserves to be one of the top.

Los Angeles - Yeah it sure would be nice to get Pau Gasol for nothing..... Bynum was a good pick. Walton Vujacic Adam Morrison? Far from perfect. Having Kobe & Phil sure help make up for mistakes.
Portland (not sure why they fired Pritchard except that he's kinda doochy. The man can't control injuries).- They were in the lottery for how long? Made a great pick in Roy. But Oden was/is a bust and passed on Durant to get him. Traded DWill's pick for Martell Webster and a late round pick. Haven't been out of the first round in years. Not a horrible FO but what have they done that was soo much better?

Denver - Aside from getting Billups for Iverson what have they done that so outstanding? Lawson was a decent pick. They did give KMart a horrible deal. I don't get this either. Not horrible but not great.

OKC - Made some great moves. Screwed Seattle fans hardcore though. Durant was a lucky draw. Loaded with lottery picks so eventually they had to get good right? Made some savy moves. Bad moves? Maybe passing on Tyreke Evans for Harden. Quality GM in place now. No disagreement here.

Boston - Rolled the dice on Garnett and it paid off. Made some good picks in the draft Rondo & Davis. Boston has done great. No argument here.

Phoenix - WTF? Why? They had a team right on the brink and traded for Shaq and got a lot worse. Signed bad deal with Diaw but at least got Richardson( althoough at a heavy price) Nash was a good signing. Amare was a good pick.

Dallas -
Made some horrible moves. Harris for JKidd? Bad move. Gave up Nash who won 2 MVPs. Signed Finley to a horrible deal and then gave him away. Gave Josh Howard a terrible deal. Dirk has carried them. What is great about them?

Houston - Yao helped a lot but he should have being #1 overall. Made some good picks Landry & Aaron Brooks. Trading for Artest? Trading for McGrady? New GM the last couple years has been ok. Waits to been seen if the Martin deal works. Decent GM. But they haven't beat the Jazz in how long? Why are they better?

Milwaukee - Why? Please tell me? Bogut? Ok #1 overall good job you got an All Star. Redd's deal is hurting them but not the GM's fault. Why? What have they done? This is just silly. They signed Bobby Simmons to 10 million a year... Jennings was a good pick. Gave up Mo Williams for Luke Ridnour. Milwaukee? No way they are in front of the Jazz.

Orlando - Rashard Lewis? Vince Carter? Although they did cut bait on Turkolu at the right time. Carter never makes a team better just like McGrady. Howard was a home run pick. Nelson another solid pick. How good would the Jazz be if they had the #1 and got Howard though? Decent FO. No huge argument here but not clearly better.

If that's really your list, then I feel even better about saying Jazz are top 10 no doubt.

Yet Portland who hasn't done anything in the playoffs in how long? picked Oden over Durant and traded the DWill pick for the pick who ended up being Martell Webster and a late 1st rounder. Yeah ok...

Atleats those other GMs might not sound as anooying as KOC sometimes does with his "internal improvement" BS that he throws around too often. I would like a different stock reply please.

Asked about his plan for getting a big in the wake of the draft not materializing, KOC has said "Fesenko" and "improvement". And you wonder why he gets bashed on these boards
