Exum to the Olympics

being reported here that Exum is highly likely to get called up and play for Australia in the Olympics. Apparently his rehab has gone swimmingly and apart from getting clearance from the Jazz the Aussie national team coach seems to think it's a lock that he'll be playing.

I'm not too happy about it and if he gets hurt then I will rage.

But the good news is that at least we get to see him play sooner and hopefully he stays healthy and then is warmed up and ready to go for the regular season.

Exum has gone a long time with out playing real games this could be a good thing, that way when the season starts next season it's not the first time he's played in over a year.

I will like it depending on how he is used. I am not sure iwant him attacking the basket a lot. I would rather see him being mote of a spot up shooter. Get his knee stronger first.

He needs all the playing time he gets. Good for him.

This is true. If he gets a bad injury though.....

Exum will probably look ike the second coming of Kobe, get the Zika virus, and his career will be ****ed. It would be just our luck.

that's all he'll be asked to do probably, they hadn't tended to have him handle the ball that much before. I'd rather he just gave the knee more time, the role he'll be asked to play won't really help his game. I'm not sold on the risk/reward ratio here

I like that. If he's healthy, I want him playing in Rio. He needs playing time. He needs to shake the rust off and learn to trust his body again, and better do it earlier rather than later and better be ready to go when he comes back to us.

Every time he drives a car, he could get injured.

These athletes are adults. You can't act like helicopter parents around them. It's so so very obvious that Exum needs game experience before this coming October, we can't afford to not be hot out the gates next season.

I want him attacking the basket and I want him doing everything we will be asking him to do for us. If he's gonna be scared of physicality(he didn't get injured because of physical play), he better not go at all and get his head straight for the season.

He can get hurt anywhere playing basketball. He can get hurt while training with the Jazz right now. He can get hurt in SL.

I call ******** on the "he needs all the playing time he can get" argument. He needs to keep his *** off the court of international play, continue to rehab the knee, and give his focus and dedication to the team that's actually paying him to play basketball.

If Exum is still rusty after SLC and Vegas summer leagues, as well as training camp, I'm more than fine letting him find his sea legs during the first quarter of an 82 game season. Not too happy the Jazz signed off on this.

I would rather him get hurt with the jazz than not with the jazz.

It's very true that an injury can happen at any time. All the more reason to try and ensure that if another big injury does happen. it happens on Jazz time while trying to further the cause of the Utah Jazz, not the Australian national team.

If his knee needs more rehabbing they won't let him go. We are talking about - if he's healthy and cleared to play basketball..

I don't think Exum gets that much of his rust shaken off playing in a few international games.

DL needs to make the unpopular decision of telling him "NO". He's a Utah Jazz asset and doesn't need to be serving other interests at this point.

If Exum is injury prone, then let him get hurt again. Then maybe the Jazz will pull their thumbs out of their asses and start building a team that can actually make the playoffs.

Get Exum in games and get him ready to play. We need a PG.

If it wasn't repaired properly, or if he didn't heal, or change the way he moves so it won't happen again....well, it is better for the Jazz to find out this summer than to find out in December.
