What's new

Few guys that went undrafted we should look at ..

I love Hopson and Hansbrough.

Look at Hansbrough's college numbers.
SEASON....MIN....PTS ....REB ....AST ....TO ...A/T ...STL ...BLK ...PF ...FG% ...FT% ...3P% ...PPS
2010-11....35.4...18.4 ....3.9 ....4.3 ....2.4 ...1.79 ...1.2 ...0.1 ...2.6 ....479 ....815 ....435 ...1.54

See, there are some decent PG gambles that won't even cost a draft pick.

Hopson is a freaking headcase. I want no part of him. Lighty on the otherhand is winner with limited physical ability. Which is why they didn't get drafted.

I just scoured as many sources as I could easily find (about 6), and these are the guys who people listed:

That being said, the Jazz have so many young guys that I don't see them signing any undrafted rookies. If we had summer league, I'd fully expect some of those players to be on the Jazz team. But we don't even have that. :-(

David Lighty, Justin Holiday, Gilbert Brown. Demetri McCamey is intriguing but just as lazy.

A guy that is under the radar is Boise State's Lashard Anderson. He's a 6'1" 170 pound point guard. His numbers last year were 15.1ppg, 3.2 rebounds 4.7 assists 44% fg 31 %3 and 78.5 FT. I know he's worked out for the Wizards and with no point guard in the Xmas stocking, he might be worth a look.

Those numbers are pure chumpville for a mid-major ballhandler in terms of NBA aspirations.

Wanamaker, Skeen, Hansborough. Older college kids, all can shoot the three, not a lot of room to grow but able to play a few minutes every 6 or 7th game. Will be good practice kids and team guys.

But the Jazz are going to get vetrans to fill this roster out, they don't want to create a culture of losing (hard to do if you have both Harris and Big Al) so they get a couple of older guys who have been on winning teams. I just hope it works out better than the Raja experiment.

I think Hansbrough can fill that Korver role .. and is much craftier with the ball .. and is just as psycho as his older brother.
