For those of you that get sleep paralysis

I get this a few times a month, although I've never had actual hallucinations. I usually just think to myself, "Well, ****." and wait it out. Anyway, this movie looks terrifying. I usually don't watch horror movies cause they're just not my cup of tea, but I'm gonna see this.

Is this the kind of video where you need to turn the sound up and pay close attention?

There is a really faint shadow on the wall above the end of the bed, looks like a body and an extended hand. It is pretty faint. It is at about halfway through. We watched it 3 or 4 times to see it.

Sleep paralysis exists so that you don't act out the things you dream about. For some people, sometimes you wake up before your brain sends the signals that allow you to move. Quite frightening when you're young and don't about said thing. Biggest thing for me is your breathing rhythm isn't changed for however many seconds you're in sleep paralysis, so the fact I had no control over my breathing led to me panicking until I did have control.

I'm used to it now, so unless I don't realize I'm in sleep paralysis (i.e. don't fully wake), I usually am able to stay call and wait the however many seconds it takes to gain control.

I have the opposite. I can't sleep, insomnia, and I'm up all night. So I must be seeing light ghosts! Freakin sucks.

The first time I experienced it I was about 14 and was pretty scared. I woke up after a minute. It periodically happened over a few years. I'd always try to wake myself up. I've rralized that doesn't work and it's easiest to just go back to sleep. I think it happens more than I'm aware now simply because I'm used to it, I don't panic, and I just go back to sleep.

It used to happen to me a lot when I was younger. Lasted more than seconds, up to 10 minutes sometimes. It was always when i was taking a nap during the day, not my normal sleep patterns. It's horrible. the worst is when i knew i needed to wake up for whatever reason, and couldnt. It's been a few years since it's happened.

I've only had this happen twice. It sucks. Never any intruders or monsters doe. Just me freaking out.

Pretty much like being Joe Bonham in Johnny Got His Gun - except you can't do Morse code.

I had never heard of it. If I experience it now that I have, I'm going to punch Archie in the *******.

@Archie - please call me if you want to discuss. I won't discuss it here as too many already view me as an attention virgin, but I know more about this than Obama knows about stupid ****.

not kidding, btw.. I can explain it better than anyone or book.
