Though I am still not buying it, this is the first truly credible source that seems sure Parker is going back to Duke for one more year. Reason cited is to play with Okafor and Jones for a chip.
Tifwiw.

- this belongs in the draft thread..

- and bury it with the brazillian other posts that require hip waders to read? No thanks.

I heard he was going to go back to school, join the marines, then go on a mission, then volunteer for the Peace Corps before going to the NBA as a 30 year old.

I think it is time the LDS Prophet gives Parker a call. Son, we need you in Utah. There could be eternal consequences if you don't enter the draft....

Very strong rumor at this time.

We'll see what happens when Duke gets knocked out of the tournament early, again.

Don't do it Parker. Utah needs you!!!!

And what does "he" need for his life? I like it when the players don't rush to become one and done. I think if he makes that decision, he is even a more valuable franchise piece for any team that grabs his, well contract.

I don't care about him being a better franchise player for other teams. I care about him suiting up in a Jazz jersey for the next 10 years. This is our one chance to grab him. Next year I will be highly upset if Utah is fighting for a top draft pick.

Then I say be prepared my friend. Next year, there just might be whole lot less tankers in the league.

If he doesn't play for 3 years after getting drafted he's no longer bound to the rookie scale ;)

Including Utah. If Utah misses out on the draft this year and makes no moves inf ree agency and is right back in the lottery hunt then that is a worst case scenario. A wasted year imo.
